A final look at the lush greenhouse as I close it up for the night. Your plants are looking amazing and are excited to be heading home with you and into your garden. They have been very well pampered from sowing their seeds in January and February and every day since as they continue to grow organically by Amy and me. A full weekend of potting up most of the remaining seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, and herbs that will be going to home gardens in my community and beyond. Yes, it is a LOT of work. But I can’t describe the joy of it all, and working with my daughter to bring our effort from seed sowing to full sized, beautifully organically grown plants for our community and beyond. This weekend we’re potting up your tomato and pepper seedlings so they are nice and big and ready to plant into your garden in April. These are 648 of the approximately 2500 organically grown tomato seedlings we will have for you to select from. We will also have about 1000 pepper seedlings and herbs too. Due to a sellout for today’s event, tomorrow, Sunday, 6/23, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., I am hosting a second, live, in-person workshop from my personal garden here in Milton (the same one featured in over 12 seasons of the national PBS television series Growing a Greener World).
This will be a hands-on, information-packed two-hour session covering everything you need to know about mid-season care for growing your own epic tomatoes.  Topics covered will include managing pests and diseases, staking and trellising, watering, mulching, pruning, suckering, propagating, the best time to harvest, troubleshooting, and how to maximize the yield.
Plus, while you’re here, if time permits, ask me anything about vegetable gardening or whatever is growing in your garden or mine (there’s a lot!).

Thank you all who came out these past few weekends to support our little seedling business. Amy and I are so appreciative that many of you have made our annual sale your go-to destination for you tomato and pepper seedlings. We love this season to sow these seeds. That will become productive plants in your garden. But the best part is getting to engage with all of you, our gardening community! It is a pleasure to be able to visit with so many of you in person while you’re here, and see your happy smiles as you take home your beautiful plants. We had our best year ever and this is all that remains from our original inventory of over 2500 plants. We are thankful to all of you and we look forward to seeing you again next April, and hopefully somewhere sooner! 💚🙏🌱🌱🌱🌱
