The AJC Peachtree Road Race is the world's largest 10K, held annually on July 4th in Atlanta, GA. From just 110 finishers completing the first race in 1970, the AJC Peachtree Road Race now welcomes 60,000 runners and walkers and hundreds of thousands of spectators to enjoy Independence Day in Atlanta.

After a car crash left him with a traumatic brain injury, Josh Henderson had to relearn how to walk, talk and feed himself. From his first assisted steps at Shepherd Center to months of therapy supported by family, faith and an unwavering goal, he never stopped believing he would return to the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race.

This July 4, just 16 months after the crash, Josh crossed the finish line in 1:07:38.

For the second straight year, Kate Rasnick crocheted her way through the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. Last year’s project was “Penelope Peach.” This year’s was a hand-dyed red, white and blue ear warmer she’ll wear at the Northside Hospital Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race this January.
