Today is and we need your help to create an active and healthy Atlanta for future generations!
By donating to the Atlanta Track Club Foundation, you're directly supporting our free youth running program, Kilometer Kids, which teaches children how to create healthy habits, goal setting, community building and respect all through running and walking. The Foundation also maintains our partnership with Atlanta Public Schools' track & field/cross country teams, and it provides scholarships for distinguished athletes in metro Atlanta.
Please consider donating to the Atlanta Track Club Foundation this Giving Tuesday at atlantatrackclub.org/donate and change a kid's life today.

Introducing Atlanta Track Club’s newest mascot… Pete the Peach! Pete is a cool, friendly, run-loving peach who traveled up to ATL from a South Georgia peach farm to see all that Running City USA has to offer.
You can meet Pete in person for the FIRST TIME EVER this weekend at the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon number pickup, and on Thanksgiving Day at the race. Learn more about Pete by checking out their website at

From the moment Lehlohonolo Makaja knew he would be traveling from Botswana to Atlanta for his business, Dreambib, there was only one race he had his mind set on - the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
He founded Dreambib with the intention to use sports as a tool for development and encourage professional athletes to provide racing and training in other African countries. He is currently in Atlanta to take classes at Atlanta’s Clark University under the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.
Through his influence, he intends to bring more international participants to the AJC Peachtree Road Race and extend its legacy to different African countries.
“We want to see the world coming to Peachtree,” he said. “Because it is more than just running, it’s cross-cultural experiences. These races play a role in connecting the world.”

Observe: FIVE generations of Peachtree participants!
We see a lot of crazy traditions in the AJC Peachtree Road Race, but the Wilson family takes it to the next level! They had five generations of their family participate in the Peachtree this year, finishing it together as one. The whole family (not pictured) ranges from 10 to 93 years young! Thank you to the Wilson's for showing us just how the Peachtree is for everyone.
The Kyle Pease Foundation made history this Peachtree 🎉
On Monday, the Kyle Pease Foundation hosted 16 Push-Assist teams, 10 of those teams in their competitive division with Shepherd Center. The Foundation started in 2011 when they dreamed of an inclusive world, and each race they participate in, they succeed more and more towards that goal!
We are always thrilled to have them join us. They show us what Peachtree is all about and remind us to keep pushing forward, no matter what.
The famous faces of Peachtree 🤩
Georgia Mayor Andre Dickens, NBC Sportcaster Maria Taylor, and, of course, the legendary Betty Lindberg are just a few of the famous faces you probably saw on Monday morning. Thanks for keeping the Peachtree tradition alive, everyone!

FYI: heartfelt content ahead. 💗
Shepherd Center represented in the best way at this year's AJC Peachtree Road Race by cheering all the runners/walkers on from the sidelines! They even got to watch their very own representatives, Daniel Romanchuk and Susannah Scaroni, win the Elite Wheelchair races and Susannah beat the course record.
You've proven you can conquer the AJC Peachtree Road Race, but why stop there? Become a Triple Peach runner/walker by registering for the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Half Marathon and receive an extra special medal and race swag!

It wouldn't be a successful AJC Peachtree Road Race if it weren't for the incredible volunteers who showed up to help this past weekend!
We are so thankful for these volunteers dedicated their time to make sure everyone is safe, happy and healthy during the race.
Congratulations to all the finishers of the 53rd annual Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race! We can't wait to see you again next Fourth of July.

Everyone's costumes yesterday left us speechless. 🤩
This is just one of the reasons why the is such a special race: the participants always make sure to have the most fun!
Sometimes, running the AJC Peachtree Road Race can lead to unexpected events.
When Conner Mantz learned that his 28:04 bumped his coach, 1991 winner Ed Eyestone, out of the #2 spot as fastest American, he said, "That's pretty funny. He always likes to joke with me about not getting his college 10K PB."
