BossFM is a digital radio network, launched in 2014 by four young, energetic and passionate radio professionals. The vision for the network began in late 2013, was initially envisioned as one radio station, and like many start-ups, it began as a series of weekend meetings. For months, the team consumed themselves with research, lengthy phone calls, fried chicken, malt liquor and laughter as they set out to create a product that would reach the young-skewing urban listener in ways that terrestrial radio was no longer. The result – a shotty app, launched summer 2014 that offered 5 different radio stations. Proud as ever, the ingenuity continued.
While generally BossFM’s content appeals to all – our focus is on millennials. Today millennials garner over 2.5 billion dollars in spending power, maintain a solid focus on human kind and health and will be at the helm of leadership circles globally for the next several decades. Our commitment to providing quality urban content to today and tomorrow’s consumer is unmatched. Our programming is offered in both live audio and video formats and available across multiple digital platforms.
Our method – agile. While our management team believes collectively that consistency is key, leadership requires understanding. We’ve taken time to cultivate our channel (station) offering and continue to evolve and make changes as we monitor trends. Today, BossFM offers 8 digital channels – with a reach that spans the hip-hop head, fitness junkie and modern-day motor mouth. Many of our channels have mainstream appeal – the focus remains on the urban individual.
