Creative Loafing Best of Atlanta: "The Living Room Recording sits in a 104-year-old house on the Westside, where owners/engineers Ed Rawls and Justin McNeight foster a relaxed vibe that's lost in most higher-end studios. There aren't a bunch of hanger-on types looking to party or distract artists from keeping their head in the recording process. Instead, there's an arsenal of vintage gear, and the
staff specializes in analog sound. Rawls and McNeight have also been playing in bands and running live sound at clubs around town since the '90s, and their experience shows. In the past year, they made Zoroaster sound heavier, the Black Lips dirtier, and Noot d' Noot even funkier.

It's here! The new Warehouse album 'super low', recorded and mixed at the Living Room. Listen to this, it's fantastic. One of the best bands we've worked with in a long time.
The Atlanta-based five piece is back with a howling, growling, raw piece of music with 'super low.'

New Warehouse single is rad (and recorded and mixed at the Living Room). Album "Super Low" is imminent!
Atlanta's Warehouse will release their sophomore album, Super Low, at the end of the month by way of the Brooklyn-based label Bayonet. This is welcome news, since we named Warehouse a Band To Watch last year based on the strength of their unconventionally catchy debut LP Tesseract. We've heard a few...

New Warehouse, from their forthcoming album, tracked and mixed at the Living Room! We love this band, and not just because they brought us jelly beans last time. About time they got some props from Pitchfork: the last album was a blinder, and so is the next one!

Hot tip from our friends Warehouse: if you want the sessions for your second LP to go well, rehearse in advance, and bring Jellybeans to the studio.

This week, we are thankful for our Massive Passive EQ, which has been massaging sounds in sublime ways for many years without a single complaint. *This may be because we also have the Vari-Mu Compressor to keep it company.

Guantanamo Baywatch share their secrets with the Australians. Some interesting insight on our vocalizing and interrupting services (call now for a quote). Also, listen to this record, it's awesome.
Garage punks Guantanamo Baywatch recently released their latest LP Darling… It’s Too Late and it’s everything we’ve come to expect and love from the Portland trio – snotty, hooky garage rock. Since the release of their first album back in 2010, the band have built a repuation on wrangling up somewh…

Paste Magazine gives Guantanamo Baywatch's new LP a rave review (and a nice name check for us!). "PERFECT SUMMER SOUNDTRACK FOR 2015", y'all.
Portland, Oregon has hardly ever been able to contain the mischievous likes of Guantanamo Baywatch. So it’s no huge surprise that when questing for the perfect recording environment, the trio bailed the cloudy Pacific Northwest for the sunny southern vibes of Atlanta’s Living Room Recording studio.…

We wanted to give a shout out to one of our hardest working pieces of gear at the Living Room: our Otari MTR 90 24-track tape machine. Not our only tape machine, but our go-to recording device for many years and hundreds of awesome records. The recording industry standard in Europe back in the day! Calibrated and ready to capture rock 'n' roll at the drop of a hat.

Some well deserved praise for the debut LP from Warehouse from earlier this summer, recorded mixed and mastered at the Living Room. Good choice, Creative Loafing Atlanta!

A fresh exclusive from Pagiins, who made the trip to sunny Georgia from Arkansas to track with us earlier this year: this is the first tune from their forthcoming debut album! Also, they'll be playing with our nearest and dearest, The Coathangers, this week, in the United States of America!
Arkansas’ Pagiins are tracking dirt into your house and calling you on your s**t, again, with “Doo Doo” from their forthcoming LP O***m Den Pool Party. Side one is two Cheifs songs from the early 80's that were never recorded. The band finally recorded them in 2017 in Atlanta at The Living Room Recording. Side Two are two NEW songs written and practiced in summer of 2017. Bob died in October. We thought the songs were gone until we found Bob's practice tapes. Last year, we went back into the studio to play along with Bob's practice bits. Thus. here is the music.
also here is that clown Gary Hasty with this copy.
