At the 2018 Addy Awards last night, Chorus Films won 2 Silver Spikes in Cinematography and Editing for our short “We Will Prevail” -- as well as a bronze with good friend Jim Bowhall of Magick Lantern for our VR piece “In Theory With David Kaplan.” A sincere thank you to Jeremiah Cotton, Garry Jenkins, Quanta Magazine, Jamie Shepard-Music, Atlanta Ad Club and everyone in the ATL Advertising and Film Communities.

Last year, Chorus Films headed out to The Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade and filmed (thanks to Norberto Saldivar for having our backs!) We took the footage, edited it, and made some music with the help of friends Jamie Shepard-Music and vocalists Kitty Snyder, Calli McGregor Southern, Annabella Carter and Emily Schmidt — whom we are incredibly grateful to. When we decided to start pushing into VR, it was with the perspective and hope that some stories are better told in VR than in a traditional filmic manner. The question soon became, what are those stories and how do we actually execute on them?

After many months of hard work, talented team members, and an unflagging dedication to making a "stellar" piece, we couldn’t be happier to announce that Chorus Films has just completed our first major immersive VR content featuring renowned theoretical physicist David Kaplan for Quanta Magazine. Extra special thanks to Jim Bowhall and Jamie Shepard-Music.
