Conexx: America Israel Business Connector was established in 1992 as the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region. Conexx is a private, not-for profit (and non-governmental) business organization to connect Israelis and Americans in business and explore new market opportunities. With over 500 members today, Conexx is headquartered in Atlanta and connects US and Israel from it’s Southe
astern US (Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi) stronghold. Conexx has earned the reputation as one of the most successful and effective bi-national business organizations in the United States, delivering great value to Israeli companies seeking U.S. market entry, to American companies desiring entry into Israel and entrée to her incredible technologies, or to those looking for a powerful network to promote their products or services. The strength of Conexx is the expertise and networking connections of our large and active membership. Since our founding, we’ve been involved in completed transactions valued at over $1 billion, thereby contributing to the economies of both Israel and the Southeastern United States. The Southeast has become one of the top five centers of activity for Israeli companies in North America, and many of the major corporations in Atlanta and other Southeastern cities have significant business relationships with Israeli companies. Members volunteer their time to evaluate the needs of Israeli companies, provide essential market feedback, and recommend methods to assist by opening doors to potential partners, customers, or investors. Israeli companies can also benefit from the Chamber’s Virtual Office program which provides them with an American image and presence at low cost and with high visibility. Conexx conducts educational programs, networking events, and business exchanges designed to stimulate interest in American companies to do business with Israel, offer helpful “how to” information, and provide opportunities for business to be explored between American and Israeli companies.

Despite grim forecasts and economic slowdown, Q1 of 2022 demonstrated strong

In an uncertain economic environment derived from geopolitical tensions, rising
inflation, interest rates, and a decline in tech investment, interest - Israeli start-ups
raised $5.5 billion during Q1
Deals over $100m continued to play a major role in capital allocation (accounting for 44% of
the capital raised). 95% of that capital was VC-backed. Main industry players were Cyber Security; Fintech; IoT; and Foodtech.
While Israeli investors kept their investment patterns in local high-tech companies,
foreign investments demonstrated a 16% decline from the average quarterly amounts in the previous year.

2021 A RECORD YEAR IN ISRAELI HIGH-TECH CAPITAL INVESTMENT
According to IVC-Meitar Israeli Tech Review for 2021 there were 773 total deals attracting $25.6 billion in capital investments, a 146% jump over 2020. 77 of last year’s deals were for more than $100 million each. These mega deals eclipsed those in 2020 by nearly four times.
Further, the study has found Israeli high-tech exits skyrocketed to $22.2 billion, with almost equal shares of M&As and IPOs. And, IPOs in 2021 peaked with 75 deals, 23 on Wall Street.
Mike Rimon, a partner in Meitar law Offices, pointed out that "2021 was the year of the "Big Bang" in terms of IPOs of Israeli companies in the US. After years in which very few Israeli companies went public in the US, this year 23 Israeli companies listed their securities in the US, most of them at very high valuations. This became possible due to extraordinary growth in the capital markets (a consequence – among other things - of the US government incentives and programs, resulting in surplus cash "seeking" potential investment channels, and of the extremely low-interest rates), the maturity of excellent Israeli companies that grew here during recent years, the longstanding and growing involvement of American investors in the Israeli companies (encouraging IPOs in the US) and the unprecedented growth of the technology sector globally (and in particular during the COVID-19 period).”
There's no doubt Israel is a major player in the cybersecurity industry with these 2021 Investments and Acquisitons stats:

CONEXX CALLS ON SOUTHEAST BUSINESS LEADERS TO STAND UP AND SUPPORT ISRAEL
For the past 30 years, Conexx: America Israel Business Connector, also known as the American Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Southeast, has connected Americans and Israelis in business in six Southeast U.S. States (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi). The direct result of our work is the creation of tens of thousands of jobs, investment of hundreds of millions of dollars, significant impact of Israeli-founded companies on State GDP’s, and billions of dollars of Israeli company contributions to local U.S. economies.
We stand in solidarity with the Israeli communities under siege, salute the brave men and women of the IDF, police, and first responders defending them, and pray for the safety and security of the State of Israel.”
“The international community must raise its voice against the outrageous ongoing rocket attacks and acts of violence deliberately targeting Israeli civilians, forcing thousands of families into bomb shelters overnight and causing numerous fatalities and injuries,” said Randall Foster, Chair, Conexx.
The State of Israel solves many of the world’s most challenging problems in healthcare, technology, alternative energy, clean water, smart transportation, smart cities, not to mention humanitarian aid around the world.
We call on business leaders in the Southeast to stand up and be counted in their support for the State of Israel while its innocent men, women and children are under attack. Conexx will continue to work with the Startup Nation to bring cutting edge and state-of-the art innovation to the Southeast U.S.
