Georgia Voice

Georgia Voice The Georgia Voice by Rough Draft is the leading LGBTQ+ media organization in the South. Boyd worked for Southern Voice in sales in the 1990's.

The Georgia Voice is an LGBT media outlet that publishes daily online and in print every other Friday. The Georgia Voice is published by The Georgia Voice, LLC, which was co-founded by Laura Douglas-Brown, Tim Boyd and Christina Cash, who together have more than 25 years experience in managing the editorial and business departments of an Atlanta-based LGBT publication. Cash founded Southern Voice

in 1988 and Douglas-Brown worked as a reporter there beginning in 1997 and was named Editor in 2006. Southern Voice closed on Nov. 16, 2009 and left Atlanta's le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender communities without a voice for the first time in almost 22 years. Profitable since 1993, Cash sold the newspaper was sold to Window Media in 1997 and it enjoyed continued success for almost a decade. Cash, Boyd and Douglas-Brown acted quickly to fill the void left by the demise of Southern Voice and launched GA Voice in March, 2010. We are grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from the community and look forward to serving our readers and advertisers for many years to come.

“Saccharine” follows Hana (Midori Francis), an exhausted med student who can’t seem to catch a break. She’s in love with the hot girl at her gym (Madeleine Madden) who barely knows she exists. She has a complicated, to say the least, relationship with her parents. And she’s struggling with disordered eating – specifically, binge eating.

Filmmaker Natalie Erika James talks about her new horror film "Saccharine," which opens in theaters this weekend.
