💸Attention Philly residents and women entrepreneurs! 💃🏾 [The Kenney administration and StartupPHL just launched a new partnership with iFundWomen to help local women entrepreneurs crowdfund to launch or double down on their businesses.] “It is undeniable that women, particularly women of color, have gone underrepresented in the world of business for too long,” Mayor Kenney said in a statement. “To close the gap that currently exists, we must make deliberate efforts to support more women entrepreneurs, and an important piece of that is increasing access to capital. iFundWomen Philadelphia will allow current and aspiring business owners in our area to tap a national network of funders and receive personalized coaching and resources from the platform’s staff.”

Serena Williams reveals that she almost died giving birth to her daughter, Olympia. In a first-person account for CNN, Williams detailed the pulmonary embolism she suffered and the other complications that followed after her emergency C-section.
Williams told her story in an effort to raise awareness for the high rates of childbirth-related deaths among black women and the poor.

I struggle with this really, because it’s so easy to get caught up in the moment with work, family etc. However, when I do plan my next day, not only do I feel more optimistic about my “tomorrow” but I also accomplish more. When you plan, you are in control instead of the opposite. It can be exciting to just let the day unfold, but when you have goals, it’s wiser to have a guide. I’m sure most of you are wondering when did you follow this page lol

It’s been over a year since my last post. Many life changes have taken place since the initial launching of The Chic Cave Radio Show in 2014. Over the last year, my life has completely changed, for the better, but it definitely came with challenges (choosing my passion over a 9 to 5), pain (the sudden death of one of the original Chic Cave personalities🙏🏾), growth (becoming a Mom💕) and so on. Through it all, I did not let it discourage me, well I had my moments. I built TCC for women like myself striving for life’s balance (career, relationships, health) and fulfillment. I’m learning that the cliche mantra “Life is not a destination...” is really true. I’m inviting you to continue this journey with me. Stay tuned for TCC podcast, inspiring interviews, insightful & empowering stories, laughter and growth! Love y’all & thx for the support!
