How would you make this cut? I’m building a table and this is a leg. I’m attempting to build something that I’m probably in over my head. But going for it. What is the simplest route to take to cut this out?

Not sure if it’s considered a mortise but a tenon will go in there to connect the two legs of the table.

To my neighbor who thought 10am on a Saturday was the perfect time to start installing sewer pipes in front of the house… I’ve got to admit, I was not prepared for that level of early morning construction. 😅

Some of us were definitely trying to sleep.

Waking up to loud banging and digging before noon on a weekend is… not ideal.

I’ve already reached out to the appropriate authorities about the noise, and I really hope it doesn’t continue, because weekends are supposed to be a bit more peaceful than that.

This used to be a pretty quiet neighborhood, so it’s been a bit of a shock seeing front yards turned into full construction zones with no real consideration for everyone else around.

Just feels like common courtesy has taken a bit of a backseat lately.

Unreal.

Is this washer drain setup okay? 🤔

S trap for washer drain? 🤔 Homeowner here.

After a plumber roughed in my washing machine drain, I'm wondering if it looks like an S-trap. I texted him about it, and he replied, "Laundry standpipes are always 'S' configured." 💧 1) Is there supposed to be a trap with no horizontal run before it connects to the downward diagonal?

2) Does this matter? 🚰🔧
