I know there have been a lot of strong opinions around the role of AI in our industry, and I understand the perspectives on both sides. I wanted to share a recent project where I explored using AI as part of my creative process.
For me, AI is a tool—much like a pencil, a calculator, or even stock imagery. In this case, I used it to assist with early concept development, specifically for pre-visualization. It wasn’t used for a final broadcast-ready piece, as I’m still cautious about relying on AI for finished animation work. In this case, the concept would be rebuilt in 3D from the ground up.
That said, I found the tool useful for rapid ideas and exploration, and I thought it might be helpful to share the results.
