This month, we’re honored to be capturing the work of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia (HMHBGA) as they shine a light on a critical issue: blood pressure and maternal health.

Too many birthing people face silent, preventable risks due to undiagnosed or unmanaged blood pressure—especially in postpartum weeks. HMHBGA is taking the lead on this issue with powerful education, resources, and outreach across Georgia.

Hybrid events offer a unique platform to reach and engage a broader audience on critical, often-overlooked topics, like Black maternal mental health. This format allows attendees from anywhere to participate, making it easier to discuss important issues like the challenges Black women face in recognizing and addressing postpartum mental health conditions and the profound impact of loss on mental well-being.

By combining in-person and virtual elements, hybrid events create accessible, inclusive spaces where experts can share insights, provide support, and offer resources tailored to empower Black mothers in navigating their mental health journey.

A huge thank you to all involved at for making this event a safe, educational, and impactful experience, as well as the incredible Shontel Cargill, Keisha Reaves, Autumn Colon, Quena ReChaud, and Chanel Stryker, who are featured in this panel!
