Killybegs Sound is a beautiful tracking and mixing facility in East Atlanta. We offer a variety of audio production services.
Adam McIntyre has been producing and mixing for 25 years, and Killybegs Sound is his studio. Located in East Atlanta, the tracking and mixing room features dark hardwood floors and persian rugs for a variety of tracking options. The goal of Killybegs Sound is not to have a specific sound but to maintain a certain level of quality, which is partially achieved with the Universal Audio Apollo 16 interface as well a large compliment of Universal Audio's amazing plug-ins and tube outboard gear. Rather than running your signal through the hazy and murky ProTools, Killybegs runs Reaper, a clearer, bolder-sounding alternative. Your mixes will sound better with less tinkering.
Very proud of this one. Preorder today and you'll get the new single.

Foggy days are great for mixing trippy rock.
It's a good day for mixing, but a terrible day for sledding (too much ice). Oh, Space Echo, what would I do without you?
Perhaps I shouldn't advertise when studio upgrades are on their way; the studio was viciously burglarized.
More studio upgrades are on the way. Can't wait for y'all to see (and hear) them.

'Something Being Born': On Making A Classic Album With A Boombox : NPR
More than 10 years ago, John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats made a career-defining record with the crudest possible tools. A good recording, he says, isn't just a matter of fidelity — as with good food, it's all about what you like.
Al Jourgensen once tricked Fred Durst into recording while wearing nothing but a cowboy hat—or at least, that’s what he says. The Ministry leader told Rolling Stone that the nude singing occurred when the Limp Bizkit frontman (or “Limp-dickster,” as Jourgensen puts it) hired him to either produce or...

For Power-Pop Fans, The Woeful Ballad Of 'Big Star' : NPR
For many, the entry point into Big Star's legacy is the opening theme song of That '70s Show. But long before Ashton Kutcher met Mila Kunis, a cult-favorite Memphis band struggled to make it big — and some of its members died trying.
