Last year, Delaware State University kicked off its ambitious "Athletics Transformation Project" to upgrade its athletics facilities, programs, and profile.

Delaware's bond bill just approved $20 million for DSU to construct a new field house to continue this "transformation." The new field house would be a 70K sq ft building near Alumni Stadium, including a 50-yard turf field, creating indoor practice space for the school's sports teams. There would also be meeting sites, lounge spaces, and new locker rooms.

"It's going to inject a lot of energy and goodwill into our campus," said Athletic Director Tony Tucker. "We can't wait to get started."

Due to complications from her pregnancy, Walcott dropped out after completing his junior year to devote time to his wife and their child. Minister Farrakhan, now 92 years old, still heads the Nation of Islam.
