The Broadcasting and Communications Division is committed to providing informative and entertaining programming through its cable station Clayton County Access Television, CCTV-23. CCTV-23 spotlights individuals and departments that gover

n the county, and focuses on events and activities going on in and around the county that are of interest to our citizens. TV-23’s mission is to provide information on the operations of local government departments to the citizens of Clayton County and to keep them connected with county wide progress and events. CCTV-23 is a 24 hours a day 7 days a week information service of the Clayton County Board of Commissioners. To be eligible to post information on CCTV-23 an organization must be a government department, agency, or receive direct support from the Clayton County Board of Commissioners. As part of its communication of information within Clayton County, our television network operates a television studio with a staff that provides visual media support to our county and our affiliates. Clayton County operates CCTV-23, the public access channel designated by Comcast Cable for the citizens of the county. The county uses the station to provide information for public service announcements and notices, celebrity appearances, community events, local business highlights, awards, achievements, a current job board and instructional programs. It is estimated that the viewership of the channel reaches approximately 80 thousand households. The programs are produced monthly. The television services staff provides video coverage for county wide programs, board meetings, exclusive interviews and special events based on requests for announcements to be aired. Clayton County Parks and Recreation is now open for Youth Track and Field and Soccer registration. Families are encouraged to register early as spots are filling fast. Walk For Peace – Buddhist Monks Arrival & Route

When the Buddhist Monks arrive, the Walk For Peace will begin at Fire Headquarters on Highway 85.

📍 Route Overview:
• Start at Fire Headquarters on Hwy 85
• Escorted by Clayton County Police Department
• Travel down Hwy 85
• Turn onto Hwy 138
• Continue onto Jonesboro Road
• End at the Morrow Center

We appreciate Clayton County PD for ensuring a safe and peaceful walk. Community members are encouraged to come out, show support, and be mindful of traffic along the route.

The Buddhist Monks participating in the Walk for Peace have officially entered Georgia from east Alabama and are currently walking through western parts of the state, including areas near West Point, LaGrange, and Hogansville. Based on their current pace, they will likely not reach our area until Monday or Tuesday.
