🗣🔊 April Dawn Pennington, 15, disappeared on May 30, 1996, in Montville, Connecticut after sneaking out of her home. Her mother noticed her bed made as if she had never left, but April was never seen again. For years, authorities treated it as a missing-person case, searching nearby woods and waterways with no leads.

🕵️‍♂️ In 2008, George M. Leniart, 30, already in prison for another s*xual assault, was arrested and charged with April’s m*rder, kidnapping, and s*xual assault. Prosecutors relied on witness statements and jailhouse informants who said Leniart s*xually assaulted and k*lled April, then disposed of her body—possibly in lobster traps thrown into waterways. Despite the arrest, her body has never been recovered.

⚖️ Leniart was convicted in 2010, making it one of the first cases in Connecticut where someone was convicted of m*rder without a body. However, in 2016, an appellate court overturned the conviction due to procedural issues with evidence, ordering a new trial. April is still officially presumed d*ad, and authorities continue to tie the case to Leniart, though her remains remain missing. ゚viral

🗣🔊On March 6, 1995, 32-year-old Scott Amedure appeared on The Jenny Jones Show during a taping in Chicago, Illinois, where he revealed a secret crush on 24-year-old Jonathan Schmitz as part of a “Secret Admirer” episode. Schmitz had agreed to be on the show, but it was later argued he wasn’t clearly told his admirer was a man. In front of a live audience, Amedure confessed his feelings while Schmitz laughed nervously on camera. After filming wrapped, witnesses said Schmitz appeared visibly embarrassed and uncomfortable. The episode had not aired yet.

🚨On March 9, 1995, at approximately 4:00 PM in Lake Orion, Michigan, Schmitz purchased a 12-gauge shotgun and drove to Amedure’s mobile home located in the Hidden Lakes Mobile Home Park. After confronting him about the show and a suggestive note Amedure had left, Schmitz 🔫him twice, k*lling him. He then fled the scene but later called 911 and confessed to the 🔫. Police quickly located and arrested him, and the case immediately drew national attention due to its connection to the talk show.

⚖️ In August 1996, Schmitz was convicted of second-degree m*rder and sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison. In 1999, his conviction was overturned due to jury instruction errors, but he was retried in 2000 and convicted again with the same sentence. Amedure’s family later sued The Jenny Jones Show, initially winning $25 million before the Michigan Court of Appeals overturned the verdict in 2002, ruling the show was not legally responsible. After serving over 20 years, Schmitz was granted parole and released on August 22, 2017, closing one of the most controversial cases linking reality TV to real-life v*olence. ゚viral

🗣🔊 On October 26, 2025, police in Hall County responded to a disturbing scene in the parking lot of Sam’s Club. Authorities say Jessica Motes, 36, had driven there and contacted family members, telling them she believed her 4-year-old daughter, Autumn Fox, was d*ad. When officers arrived and searched Motes’ vehicle, they discovered the little girl’s body inside the trunk. The shocking discovery led to Motes’ immediate arrest as investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined the case to determine exactly what happened in the hours leading up to the child’s d*ath.

⚖️ As detectives gathered evidence, arrest warrants revealed disturbing details. Investigators allege Autumn suffered severe blunt-force injuries, and a medical examination reportedly found dangerous drugs in her system, including fentanyl and methamphetamine. Because of the evidence, prosecutors upgraded the charges against Motes to malice m*rder, felony m*rder, aggravated battery, and first-degree cruelty to children, along with concealing the d*ath of another person. Authorities say the child had been living with her mother in the Gainesville area before the tragic incident.

🏛️ Prosecutors with the Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office later announced they are seeking the d*ath penalty due to the severity of the allegations and the young age of the victim. Motes has remained behind bars at the Hall County Jail as she awaits trial. Court proceedings are expected to reveal more about the timeline of events and the evidence investigators say led to the heartbreaking d*ath of 4-year-old Autumn Fox. ゚viral

🗣🔊 On March 10, 1998, inside a family home on Camelot Drive in Huntsville, Alabama , 17-year-old Jeffrey Franklin launched a brutal attack against his own family using multiple weapons, including a hatchet, a two-pound sledgehammer, a butcher 🔪 , and a rat-tail file. His parents, Gerald Franklin (40) and Cynthia Franklin (39), were k*lled inside the home. He then attacked his younger siblings Sara Franklin (14), Timothy “Timmy” Franklin (8), and Christopher Franklin (6), leaving them with severe injuries but alive. Another sibling, Stacey Franklin (11), was not home during the attack and survived because she wasn’t there.

🚔 After the violence, Jeffrey reportedly left the house and walked through the neighborhood attempting to act calm, even though he was covered in 🩸. Neighbors quickly noticed something was wrong, and police were alerted to the scene later that same day. When investigators searched his bedroom, they discovered disturbing writings describing violent thoughts and anger toward his family. The three injured children were rushed to the hospital with critical wounds but survived the attack, something investigators later called nothing short of miraculous.

⚖️ In June 2001, Jeffrey Franklin pleaded guilty to two counts of m*rder and three counts of attempted m*rder, avoiding a capital m*rder trial. He was sentenced to five life sentences in prison for k*lling his parents and attempting to k*ll his siblings. The plea agreement also prevented the surviving children from having to testify in court about the horrific events that took place in their home. Franklin remains imprisoned in Alabama today, and his parole requests have repeatedly been denied. His siblings moved to New York with relatives.

🗣🔊 On Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, Amanda Marie Janzen, 38, from Gainesville, Florida, showed up at a Walgreens parking lot for a court-ordered custody exchange to drop off her 11-month-old baby to the father, Thomas Williams, 36. Witnesses reported she was agitated and shouted “You made this happen!” before pulling out a 🔫.

She 🔫 Anna Terrill, 34, who was riding with Thomas, three times, k*lling her instantly, and also 🔫 Thomas three times, leaving him critically wounded. Janzen’s five other children were in her car during the shooting.

🚨 After the attack, Janzen fled the scene with her children, leading police on a 13-mile high-speed chase reaching over 100 mph. During the pursuit, she reportedly called 911 and admitted to the shooting while her children cried in the backseat. Law enforcement eventually arrested her, and all her children were taken into protective custody. The incident left one d*ad, one critically injured, and multiple children traumatized after witnessing the violent attack.

⚖️ Janzen was charged with second-degree m*rder, attempted m*rder, fleeing law enforcement, and child neglect. In 2025, she pleaded guilty/no contest and received a life sentence in prison. She is barred from contacting her children or the victims’ family without court approval. ゚viral

🟥 Sergio Pino, a wealthy 60-year-old South Florida real estate developer, became the center of a shocking m*rder-for-hire plot targeting his estranged wife, Tatiana Pino. Their bitter divorce began around April 2022, with Tatiana accusing him of trying to poison her. Authorities later discovered that Pino allegedly hired multiple crews to k*ll her to avoid losing millions in assets and to control the outcome of the divorce. Over several years, Tatiana reportedly survived poisoning attempts, vehicle attacks, and intimidation designed to pressure her.

🚗 On August 30, 2023, one crew allegedly rammed Tatiana’s car as she arrived home in Coral Gables, Florida, in a hit-and-run attempt. Earlier and later, Pino’s associates reportedly set fire to vehicles belonging to Tatiana and her relatives, including in July and August 2023, as a form of intimidation. By late 2023, a second hit crew had been recruited to continue attempts on her life. In June 2024, as Tatiana returned from church, a gunman approached her driveway intending to 🔫 her. She escaped by driving into her backyard, and the gunman briefly threatened her adult daughter before fleeing.

🪦 As the FBI moved to arrest Sergio Pino in mid-July 2024 at his Coral Gables home, he d*ed by s*icide, avoiding charges for the m*rder-for-hire conspiracy. Authorities charged nine people in connection with the plot, and several later pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy and related crimes. The case revealed a chilling premeditated pattern of attempts on Tatiana’s life, highlighting the lengths Pino allegedly went to for financial gain and control during their divorce. ✨

🗣🔊On April 10, 2022 at about 10:15 PM, 23‑year‑old Stephanie Melgoza, then a senior at Bradley University, was driving in East Peoria, Illinois, when her car struck and killed two pedestrians — 43‑year‑old Andrea Rosewicz of Avon, Ohio and 55‑year‑old Paul Prowant of Seattle, Washington — as they walked near a bar.

Police say Melgoza showed clear signs of impairment and later registered a breath test well over the legal limit; she admitted having drinks before driving and later pleaded guilty in February 2023 to two counts of aggravated DUI causing death and two counts of aggravated reckless driving. ⚖️

At a sentencing hearing on April 27, 2023 at 9 AM, a judge in Tazewell County Circuit Court sentenced Melgoza, then 24, to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections — a term she must serve at least 85 % of under state law. 💼

She received credit for time already served and addressed the victims’ families in court, expressing remorse for her actions as the tragic outcome of her decision to drive drunk continues to resonate. 🕊️
