It’s and what better day than to say I evicted my uterus a mere four days ago! It was one of the BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE.
Trans health care is HUMAN health care. You might not even know what kind of care that is currently protected, that you could need one day. The way I feel without my uterus is nothing short of euphoric, and it only drives home just how important it is to listen to trans people and their dreams and desires. Trust me- no one is out here trying to modify their body just for funsies. 🏳️⚧️
My entire surgery team was women, and they were women who are not only incredible at their job- but showed me so much care, patience and love. I have never felt more respected during ANY medical procedure as I have this surgery. I have been greatful every day and I will be the rest of my life. It was inspirational to see women doing their thing and making the biggest difference. It reminds me of the Mr Rodger’s quote about when times are bad, look for the helpers. Those ladies may never be in the news, but they are real heros in these “unprecedented times.” My doctor even held my hand as I went under and played Pink Pony Club and I think would love that hahahaha
My recovery is going really well! I’ll keep following the rules and taking it easy but even if it had been worse no way I would have regretted it.
Shout out to my amazing friends who have been checking in on me (peep some of the presents they sent me 🥹) and my mom for coming to help me while I recover!
