Scroll down, or you'll miss them: @PinkFloyd quietly uploaded a dozen live albums to streaming services this week, all taken from concerts performed in the 1970s.
Recorded between 1970 and 1972, the records immortalize performances across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Most of the sets draw from Pink Floyd's albums Atom Heart Mother (1970), Meddle (1971), and Obscured by Clouds (1972), but the collection also features early performances of songs from their 1973 classic The Dark Side of the Moon; a 1972 Tokyo gig sees the band perform the album almost in its entirety, a year before its release.

Since 2008, Brad Pitt has co-owned a French estate called Château Miraval—and, by extension, the long-dormant recording facility Miraval Studios. Now, Pitt has teamed up with French composer and producer Damien Quintard to renovate and reopen the fabled studio, which hosted sessions for classic records including Pink Floyd’s 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘭 and the Cure’s 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘔𝘦, 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘔𝘦, 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘔𝘦. The studio, which has been inactive since the early 2000s, will begin hosting sessions in summer 2022. Read more at the link in bio.

This week (S2E05) we talk in depth about some mundane yet important practices for the studio. One thing that goes a long way to maintaining a consistent workflow is being able to recall your process.
I’ve made custom recall sheets for a lot of my outboard equipment so that I can have an accurate account of the equipment and settings used on sessions.
In your DAW you can save custom plug-in settings. Then you can quickly pull up sounds you like from previous tracks you’ve worked on.
