Yes, the rumor is true. Third Sunday of the month is this weekend, so I am hosting "My Own House" on 89.3FM/wrfg.org from 9am - 11am. "My Own House" is the eclectic music program that uses the umbrella term "Americana" to describe the music you'll hear, which can be anything from the genres of blues, bluegrass, alternative and classic country, singer-songwriter, roots, R & B, folk, western swing, rock (southern and otherwise), and whatever else we decide to throw in the mix.
As is typical, I will start off the show with brand new Americana music, some of it literally days old and some stretching back a few months. Then, we'll listen to some Americana artists that I recently heard here in the ATL live and in concert. Finally, my "Roots Of Americana" segment--which usually concentrates on music from the 50's through the 70's--will actually contain music from the mid 80's through the very early 90's as it was just before the period when "Americana" was the term used to describe the music.
As you prepare for church, or relax with a newspaper or tv show, or drink a cup of coffee or eat breakfast--tune us in every Sunday for a refreshing, eclectic sound you'll hear nowhere else but on WRFG 89.3 FM/WRFG.org. Also available via free downloadable iPhone or Android apps and at tunein.com.

This Sunday, it is my turn to host My Own House, WRFG's Americana music show that airs from 9am - 11am Eastern. As I had the good fortune to attend the Blues Foundation's Blues Music Awards and International Blues Challenge in May, I will be featuring artists on the acoustic side that were included at those events. Additionally, the show will include new music and if time allows, we'll do some "Roots Of Americana" music as well.
