Just because Epic Cons & Entertainment shut down doesn’t mean the magic of Mystic Falls has to 🧛🏼

If you had tickets to I Was Feeling Spooky in Covington, GA, you’ve likely already heard the news of its cancellation along with all other upcoming conventions, including Epic Cons Chicago 3, which was scheduled for next weekend (July 26–27, 2025).

🚨 This also includes the sudden shutdown of Epic Events & Entertainment, the company running these cons.

While this is definitely not the news any of us in the TVDU or multi-fandom community wanted to hear, I still encourage you to visit Covington, GA, aka The Real Mystic Falls, during your already planned trip for November 7–9, 2025.

This amazing town has everything to offer, especially if you’re a Vampire Diaries fan or just love a quaint small town with all the good vibes.

📍 I’ve been visiting and writing about the Real Mystic Falls since 2020, and over 280,000 fans have landed on my blog for recommendations when planning their Vampire Diaries experience in Covington.

Seeing how many of you have fallen in love with this town through my guides has been incredible and I’ll continue supporting this community for years to come ❤️

Discover Covington, GA has a special kind of magic that goes way beyond any event, and it’s very worth visiting.

The hospitality in Covington is unmatched, and while the convention news is upsetting, your trip can still be exciting, memorable, and full of TVD magic.

That being said, many vendors had already been hard at work prepping for the upcoming conventions and created merch specifically for Epic Cons. They could really use our support!

I’ll be tagging some of these amazing vendors at the end of this post so you can check them out and shop directly.

And if you’re ready to plan your own Mystic Falls adventure, my blog has everything you need for your self-guided experience, including filming locations and walking tour tips. Linked in the comments!

👉Let’s keep the love going for this town and for the people who’ve made it such a special place for fans around the world. Covington is still here and so is the magic. 🧛‍♀️💫

Listen, everything you've heard is a lie ✋🏼

Caffeine-fueled detours, questionable navigational choices (Carlos would know), spontaneous pull-overs, and almost never dressed for the part because, well...

what if I see a hidden trail leading to who knows where? 🤭

Honestly, this is just the beginning. It gets "funner".

I pinky promise 🤞🏼

p.s. no lies detected

Tell me...which slide has you saying "Yep, that's totally me on a trip"? 👇

Jumping on this trend because I love flipping through pictures and love bits of story time 🥰

That very first road trip was enough for me to know we were meant to explore and adventure together.

From our first date at a coffee shop to getting engaged while hiking in Shenandoah National Park and having our wedding at the Castillo de San Marcos in Saint Augustine, it's been an incredible adventure since day 1! ❤️

So here's to more of what we love! 🚗✈️🏕️🌊

Here's to 43 months together...and counting!

The lounging areas on the Norwegian Cruise Line Viva are absolutely INCREDIBLE! 🚢✨

I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried but there are two areas that stood out the most.

I personally loved the stunning infinity pool that literally blends into the ocean, the amazing Oceanwalk (glass bridge on their own Ocean Boulevard) and the areas with ALL the views.

Every single space took my breath away!

We spent hours just soaking in these views (I mean, can you blame us? 😍) and honestly forgot we were even on a ship.

It might sound cliché but it really does feel like you're floating in a private paradise!

Other areas that I loved on the Norwegian Viva:

🌮 Indulge Food Hall
🏎️ Go-karts (Viva Speedway)
🚢 La Terraza
🛋️ Observation Lounge

Now I’m curious...if you were sailing on Norwegian Viva tomorrow, where would you head first?...

Straight to the infinity pool with a cocktail in hand, go for a walk on the glass bridge or head to the speedway for some go-kart action?

Let me know which one calls to you most and message me if you're ready to book your cruise trip!👇

No one believes this exists in Virginia… 🤯

This 215-foot natural arch will leave you SPEECHLESS!

🇺🇸 Known as the birthplace of a nation, Virginia is home to our nation’s first permanent English settlement, Jamestown, established way back in 1607. Virginia is also home to many of the minds that shaped our nation’s founding principles.

It’s no wonder this incredible natural wonder sits in a state so rich with American history!

This historic Natural Bridge:

✅ Was once owned by Thomas Jefferson, who called it “the most sublime of nature’s works”
✅ Is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
✅ Is a sacred ground to the Monacan Indian Nation for centuries
✅ Is one of the most breathtaking sites I’ve ever experienced!

👉 Fun fact: George Washington carved his initials “G.W.” here as a young surveyor and you can still see them today if you look closely! 👀

Standing beneath this massive limestone arch, I couldn’t help but think about all the history these rocks have witnessed.

From Indigenous ceremonies to founding fathers’ visits, this place holds incredible American stories, which is why I thought it would be the perfect site to share to celebrate America’s birthday!

Happy 4th of July! Here’s to exploring the incredible natural wonders and rich history that make America beautiful! 🇺🇸✨
