This post is long overdue, but I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to for officially selecting my script HAPPY HOLLOW this year.

Tucson showed so much love. We spent nearly a week watching incredible horror films, meeting filmmakers, producers, directors, writers, and actors from all over. It was an unforgettable experience surrounded by creativity, passion, and community.

Huge shoutout to and his amazing team and family for putting together such a well-run and welcoming festival. Also a big thank you to for being such an incredible guide and support throughout the week.

And of course, love to my family and friends who supported me from near and far — y’all keep me grounded and motivated:

and so many more.

This experience gave me fresh energy to bring HAPPY HOLLOW from script to screen, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Grateful for everyone I met and everything I learned along the way.

We’re looking for two leads for a paid 2 to 3 day shoot in East Point the upcoming January.

A quick update: I didn’t advance to the semifinals of the Black Boy Writes & Black Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative, Class of 2026. Still, I’m proud and grateful to have placed as a Quarterfinalist in such a competitive program. Thank you to everyone who’s been rooting for me along the way.

Honored to share that my short film screenplay WINDOW has been selected as a Top 50 finalist out of more than 2,000 submissions in the KinoLime Shorts Competition, placing in the top 2.5 percent.

In addition, WINDOW is now officially in pre-production. I’m excited for this next chapter and looking forward to sharing more soon.

Excited to share that The Handoff has been named a Quarterfinalist in the Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay Awards (Season 10). This is my second TV pilot to place in competition and my first comedy script. It’s a mockumentary series set in Dublin, Ireland with an ensemble cast of misfits from very different backgrounds.

Comedy was a new challenge for me and Filmmatic’s only requirement was simple: make them laugh. I’m glad I was able to get at least a few giggles. This is also my fifth screenplay overall to receive recognition. Grateful for the honor and motivated to keep pushing my work forward.

Over the holiday weekend, while I was in Cincinnati visiting family, I received some incredible news. Happy Hollow has been selected for the HorrOrigins Film Festival 2025.

This means a lot to me because it is my first official selection. The timing felt surreal. While I was there, I visited my grandparents’ grave for the first time since their burial. I caught them up on life and asked them to give this script a little push. Later that night, I opened my email and saw the news.

Happy Hollow has been one of my most consistent projects, the one that always finds a way to resonate. Even as I focus on new scripts and prepare for my first short film shoot this February, it continues to make its mark.

Thank you to the HorrOrigins team for this honor and for believing in the work.

Some good news I’ve been meaning to share.

Black to the Future, a feature-length sci-fi adventure I wrote, just placed as a Quarterfinalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards Diversity Initiative. 🖤⚡️

This is my second time placing in this competition — Happy Hollow got love last year. It’s also my fourth recognized script overall and my third to make the Coverfly Red List before the platform shut down.

This one’s a wild time-travel story with a lot of heart. It’s all about choosing selflessness over selfishness, and I’m proud of how it turned out.

Big thanks to the folks at the LA International Screenplay Awards for creating space for voices like mine. Here’s to whatever’s next.
