Last Sunday, we made ourselves to Nan Xiang’s soft opening up at Mall of GA. Got there by 12:30 and weren’t seated till 1.5 hours later. But luckily had a chance to walk around the mall for a bit.

The soup dumplings were full of soup like its name states. They only had 3 options at this time and we went with their Nan Xiang and the crab dumplings. Crab was definitely crab and worth a try. We preferred their namesake was tastier. I really liked the scallion pancakes with sliced beef. We both enjoyed the cold dishes and wanted to try something different than found at other restaurants so went with the mustard greens with tofu and the four happiness kaofu. Thanks to the amount of food we ordered, we weren’t that upset that we didn’t get the Nan Xiang soup dumplings to our table till an hour after ordering. It’s their soft opening and understandable.

This place is worth trying out but we can honestly say it does not compare to DTF in our opinion and especially our take on the use of msg. I’ll leave that for your interpretation.

I can say that Karly Giang has ruined my love for typical banh khot 😓 There’s no comparison with her version she gave us this past weekend during Karlykase 🤤😭 Truly hope we get to have her version again.

Chef Jared Hucks and crew continues to set and deliver on superb expectations. We have never been disappointed with every one of our visits. This time around, we came for the Easter Dinner menu that still keeps me thinking and craving weeks after. The Alden

2nd week soft opening of Irritable Claypot. Grand opening planned for mid May. Still hashing out the menu.

Must must must try is the crispy fried eggplant appetizer called It’s Not THAT Eggplant. Large portion that stands on its own and can even go very well with white rice. Even if you aren’t an eggplant lover like, you will like this crunch packed with flavors. Elly will vouch since she normally doesn’t like eggplants. This will become as staple for sure.

We tried the beef brisket clay pot which was unlike the traditional ones we’ve had at other Chinese places. It’s a little sweeter but also very flavorful. Had to try the crispy rice clay pot so tried the spicy beef on rice. Sauce isn’t over powering and rice had a nice crunch, not too much and just right. Ethan, owner, recommended me flip the rice over the beef and start mixing in the crunching rice bottom to even it all out. You can always ask for more sauce if needed.

Ethan stated that they are still working on the menu and want to see what they can add and take away. We’ve eyed a few other dishes that we are definitely coming back to try. He recommended trying the similar beef brisket but with chicken version. And the wings will be on our next list.

Always loved Claypot and had to try Irritable Claypot during their soft opening. Planned grand opening will be mid May.

Menu still in development. But must try the crunchy eggplant appetizer. 🤤

New Venezuelan 🇻🇪 grill location, lesser known, and a sleeper. We are coming back for more. Got to try the ribs which were fried but juicy and was our favorite. Honestly had no clue what things were but had to try as much as we could. 😅 And we were not disappointed at all. Must Ty place if you want some good juicy flavorful meats with tasty sides. Oh and the yucas were the best we’ve ever had in Atlanta, fried to perfection.
