Finally on the last rack of dumbbells. Let's go!

So, I haven't posted any nutrition or fitness related content for several months now, despite my initial intent to start promoting myself. As many of you may know, back in September my cat Kye passed after a battle with lymphoma. I was devastated, and I'm still having a really rough time with it. This pretty much killed my motivation.

Kye wasn't just a cat. He was THE cat. Calling him a pet almost feels wrong. He was more than that. He was family. And, not in the "all pets are family" kind of way. No, truly family. I have never felt this way about and had a bond like this with an animal before. It felt like it was truly one of a kind. He was truly one of a kind.

Losing Kye shook me to my core. I realize that most will never understand, and I also realize that I can talk about this and try to articulate my feelings, but words are incapable of capturing how much sorrow I felt on the day he died. I'm going to try to say this next part as respectfully as possible, and let me preface this by saying that I know people mean well. But, many people have told me that they know what this is like just because they themselves have lost an animal. Some who have said this to me might truly understand, but the majority? I'm sorry, truly, but no you don't. I don't want to blatantly say "I loved my animal more than you loved yours"... but yeah, that's kind of what I'm saying. Let me put it this way. Kye is not the first animal I've lost. I've also lost another cat and a dog. That's just counting the major losses. I've also lost other pets. Prior to Kye, I would have thought that I understood what someone was going through if they were going through what I went through when I lost Kye. In actuality though? I wouldn't have had a clue.

Now, there may be some of you who read this that in doing so picture one specific animal, who imagine a bond that is indescribable and a love that defies limits. If you are one of those people, then you get it. But, you probably also understand that the strength of your bond with every animal is not always going to be the same. That's okay.

Like I said, I know people mean well. But, at least hopefully this clarifies why I can't help but feel mildly irritated when someone says something like "it's never easy losing a pet", because it implies that the magnitude and the void left after each loss is always going to be equal in scale and that simply isn't true.

Anyway, I didn't intend to go off on a tangent. I'm going to overcome this, and I'm going to start making content again. Hopefully soon.

Oh, by the way. I'm going to be a dad. We found out about a month before Kye died. Her name will be Camila Anastacia Bray, and her due date is April 27th. Life is funny sometimes.

Just a little message about staying consistent. Don't let perfection be the enemy of progress.

Just my two cents on one of my favorite supplements; L Carnitine. Disclaimer, I am neither a doctor or a dietitian. Everything I present here is simply based off of my own research that I've done by searching around on the internet, same as what you can do. As always, I encourage you to do your own research on any supplement that you are considering taking.

Someone at the gym asked me how long I've been working out for and complimented me and said that "they had to ask because I looked shredded." When I told them only a year they were shocked, but I was even more shocked and basically turned into Chopper from One Piece after he gets a compliment 😂

Here's the photos from my recent Ultra Ego Vegeta photoshoot! This was the cosplay. Ever since the start of my fitness journey, I always knew that one day I wanted to cosplay Vegeta. He's not just my favorite Dragon Ball character, but one of my favorite fictional characters ever. Plus, I love what Ultra Ego represents. Vegeta knew that he couldn't get stronger in the same way Goku did. So, he did it differently, he went his own way, and broke through his limits.
.. now let's not focus on the fact that Ultra Ego has yet to win a fight 😅

I'm going to start doing this intermittently so I can just get used to talking into a camera. It felt a bit awkward at first, but I think I got a bit into my element. This one is particularly about diet, and how often times people overcomplicate what eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle actually looks like.
