This morning on Plain Old Horizons on WRFG-FM: I apologize for the tardy post. I try to post on Saturday before the the two shows that Mighty Joe Hamm and I host, the first and third Sundays. But, I had a lazy day yesterday because my band had a gig in Dalton, Ga on Friday evening. Traveling there and back plus two hours of playing music with my band will do that, require a a day of rest to recover. Today is still a lazy day because Joe and I have guests scheduled, Dan and Bianca. I met Dan on one of my walks out at Pine Lake. He is a musician, too, and has a post punk band. Joe came from punk music to the music scene in Atlanta so I'm sure he and Dan will have some common ground. Dan is bringing Bianca to the studio. She was on the college station in Athens, Ga for a couple of years so I am hopeful that she likes WRFG-FM. Being on the radio is addictive and once bitten by the bug, you'll find your way back to a radio station to get back on the radio airwaves. I do look forward to their visit even though they will be taking turns playing songs along with Joe playing songs from his set list. I should only be speaking today during the show.
That's Plain Old Horizons on WRFG-FM this morning at 11 am. 89.3 on your radio dial or go to wrfg.org for live streaming. Do tune in for a true variety show today.

BREAKING: Pete Buttigieg beautifully dismantles MAGA Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy after he absurdly tried to blame Pete for Trump's airline crisis.

This is EXACTLY how it's done folks...

"You can't lower gas prices by blurting out the names of a few Democrats," Buttigieg wrote on X. "The administration needs to stop its crazed policies that cause so much economic pain."

"This is happening on Trump's watch because he doubled jet fuel prices by taking our country to war, which drove Spirit out of business. Obviously," he added.

The former Transportation Secretary was responding to a clip of Duffy on Fox News uncorking a deluge of misinformation about the recent shuttering of Spirit Airlines.

"To be really clear, yeah, fuel prices have gone up. This story was not written because of the Iran War," Duffy ludicrously claimed. "This story was written years ago because of what Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, and the DOJ under Biden, what they did to prevent the merger from happening."

To be absolutely clear: Spirit's collapse is a direct result of the skyrocketing oil prices caused by the Iran War. While the company may have had long simmering structural issues, it was the sudden price spike that tipped them into insolvency.

"So again, I love that they try to play revisionist politics and try to come after Donald Trump again," Duffy whined. "What do they want, a nuclear Iran?"

As has been explained ad nauseam in countless publications, Iran was not on the path to nuclear weapons. Trump's own intelligence agencies admitted as much.

"I mean, they're blaming fuel prices, but you and I both know that Democrats love higher energy prices," Duffy added. "They fought for four years to give us higher energy prices. Look at California, $5, $6, $7, $8 a gallon, and now they're trying to blame Trump, who wanted American energy dominant."

At this point, only the most hardcore MAGA supporters still believe these laughable lies. Trump's presidency is in free fall as a direct result of awful policy decisions.

Buttigieg handled Duffy perfectly: cut to the quick of the matter, expose the truth, and move on.

Were you better off under President Biden?
