American sprinter Aleia Hobbs has accepted a 6-month suspension from USADA following an anti-doping rule violation.

The suspension stems from a plain saline IV infusion she received at home to treat severe flu symptoms.

While the infusion contained absolutely NO banned or performance-enhancing substances, it violated anti-doping protocols by exceeding the strict 100 mL volume limit allowed outside of a hospital.

Hobbs openly self-reported the treatment during a routine out-of-competition test.

Her suspension runs from May 19 through November 19, 2026
