A tiny crawl in the right direction. 🐢💚

Georgia’s loggerhead sea turtles have set a new nesting record, with more than 4,100 nests counted along the coast this season, the highest total in 37 years.

For a threatened species that has spent decades slowly recovering, that’s something worth celebrating this Feel-Good Friday.

🌿 A little Georgia good news for Feel-Good Friday.

The Okefenokee Swamp has officially been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognizing one of America’s most extraordinary wetlands as a place of outstanding importance to the world.

The massive freshwater ecosystem is home to hundreds of species and now joins celebrated American natural places including Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and the Everglades on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

That feels worth celebrating. 💚

Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they show up dressed as Spider-Man. 🕷️

A man using a wheelchair was struggling to cross six lanes of traffic in Jonesboro, Arkansas, when 20-year-old Christopher Hellenthal jumped out of his Jeep to help.

Still dressed as Spider-Man after a superhero event at the trampoline park where he works, Christopher pushed the man safely across just moments before traffic began moving again.

The spontaneous act of kindness was captured by a Jonesboro traffic camera and shared by local police.

A quick reminder that being a hero sometimes means simply noticing when someone needs help.

What if one afternoon outside the shelter could help change a dog’s life?

Bryan Reisberg’s outings give adoptable dogs a chance to be seen, photographed and remembered beyond the kennel.

Programs like Best Friends’ Adventure Buddy and Mutual Rescue’s Doggy Day Out let volunteers take part in similar outings with participating shelters.

You may not need a viral backpack. You may just need a few free hours and a dog ready for an adventure.
