This Week we are excited to highlight our first solo artist: Mary Margaret Cozart! A folk rock singer-songwriter based in Atlanta, GA, her music has been shaped by time living between Athens & Savannah, where she began sharing her songs with live audiences.

Influenced by artists like Why Bonnie, Margaret Glaspy, and Madison Cunningham, Cozart draws on her southern roots and classically trained guitar playing to shape her personal storytelling. A storytelling that comes through not only lyrically but also in her strong stage presence while performing live.

Since relocating back to her hometown this past year, Mary Margaret has released her latest single, "Maggie's World," toured regionally with Athens-based band Your Ex's Pets, and performed gigs around the city while recording her first full-length album, set for release in 2026. Sometimes a band that ends up being a huge influence was one you weren’t a fan of originally. Sweet Time shares how they evolved to love the band behind this weeks album of the Week: Never Hungover Again by Joyce Manor.

In this week’s collaboration, Dan and Will talk about how Joyce Manor’s short-and-sweet songs carry surprising complexity, emotional weight, and lyrical depth. This week’s band of the week is Sweet Time. A pop punk trio consisting of life long friends Arvin Alaigh, Dan Clifford, and Will Hsiung.

Pulling threads from ’90s skate punk, shoegaze haze, emo confessionals, and the melodic chaos of early-2000s Warped Tour mainstays, Sweet Time lives in a familiar but deeply personal lane. Their sound sits somewhere between the raw heart-on-sleeve urgency of The Front Bottoms, the hook-heavy emotional punch of Paramore, and the scrappy immediacy of Joyce Manor.

The band’s debut album where do we go from here was written and recorded over the course of two years while guitarist Alaigh completed his Ph.D. at Cambridge. The result is a lo-fi, heart-forward collection that captures three unique perspectives on coming-of-age, personal isolation, and emotional resilience. You can steam it anywhere you listen to music or buy it on vinyl through their label Mutant League Records.

This week’s Band of the week is none other than Yankee Roses. A blend of genres that can best be described as alternative folk. There is grit, heart and a genuine earnestness in every song. Headed by George Geanuracos, this project is one that lives in an etherial space that upon first listen feels cacophonous yet settles to create a harmonic soundscape that feels as if the gods of Mount Olympus have finally shared a piece of of art they were hoarding from us for too long.

Drawing from Phil Ochs, Jackson C. Frank, and Billy Bragg, George creates a sound that many listeners feel sits comfortably alongside artists like Neutral Milk Hotel.
