"Enter Human-Re-Sources, a “competitive digital distribution company for artists who want to take back control of their music,” created by veteran artist manager, Julius “J” Erving. Prior to creating his company, Erving handled artist management duties at Atom Factory, overseeing acts such as John Legend, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth before moving to Maverick Management.
Human-Re-Sources’s roster boasts budding acts such as Brent Fayaiz and YBN Nahmir, whose “Rubbin Off The Paint” single sits at over 36 million Spotify listens. Additionally, the company supports the music career of NBA point guard Damian Lillard, a.k.a. Dame D.O.L.L.A., who holds collaborations with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz."
Hip-hop artists are avoiding long-term recording contracts and opting for less constrictive distribution deals. Because of this, industry vet Julius "J" Erving stepped away from artist management to create Human-Re-Sources, a digital distribution company for artists taking control of their music.
