We made the decision as an editorial team to remove the episode “Theater Everywhere" from our feed given the disturbing accounts of a culture of disrespect for Black and Indigenous theater workers at Serenbe theater and associated productions. While none of our team witnessed this behavior, we will not promote this work on our platform. Gina is especially upset given that she had offered advice about the potential challenges of staging a respectful interpretation of a Pocahontas story months ahead of production. In lieu of this episode, we suggest you listen to any number of About South’s episodes featuring Indigenous and Black guests.
