Words to God

Words to God Honest prayers from imperfect hearts. Hope, faith, and quiet moments with God.

A mother’s prayer is often for the battles her son never talks about. 💙 May God give him strength without making his heart hard, wisdom without taking away his tenderness, and peace without taking away his courage. May He surround my son with people who sharpen his character and truly love him. 🙏

BE CAREFUL WHOSE VOICE YOU BELIEVE WHEN GOD HAS ALREADY SPOKEN ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. 🤍

The world will give you a thousand reasons to feel like you're not enough.

Not beautiful enough.
Not successful enough.
Not talented enough.
Not young enough.
Not thin enough.
Not accomplished enough.
Not where you thought you'd be by now.

And if you listen long enough,
you can start believing it.

You can look in the mirror and see everything you wish you could change.
You can compare your life to someone else's highlight reel.
You can measure your worth by numbers, achievements, attention, or approval.

But before the world ever had an opinion about you,
God had already called you wonderfully made.

Psalm 139 doesn't say you will be wonderful once you become everything you want to be.

It says you are wonderfully made.

Right now.

In the middle of your imperfections.
In the middle of your becoming.
In the middle of the things you're still trying to heal.
In the middle of the parts of yourself you haven't learned to love yet.

You don't have to earn your worth.

You don't have to become someone else to deserve love.
You don't have to look like anyone else to have value.
You don't have to live someone else's timeline to be exactly where God can still work through you.

There is nothing accidental about the way God created you.

So the next time comparison whispers,
“You're not enough,”

remember whose voice spoke first.

The One who created you.
The One who knows you completely.
The One who sees every flaw you try to hide and still calls you His workmanship.

You are not a mistake waiting to be fixed.
You are a creation worthy of being cherished.

And perhaps today, instead of asking,
“How can I become enough?”

you can finally whisper,

“God, help me see myself the way You see me.” 🌷

One day, we'll realize these ordinary moments were the ones we were praying to have. ❤️ The laughter, familiar voices, meals around the table, and little memories being made right now. May God slow us down enough to notice them and help us never take this family for granted. 🙏

Today, I pray my husband receives the kind of joy that doesn't depend on circumstances. ❤️ May God reward the sacrifices nobody saw, renew his strength, and remind him that the quiet ways he has loved and provided for this family matter more than he knows. May his best season still be ahead. 🙏

SOME OF THE THINGS YOU CALL “LUCK” MAY ACTUALLY BE ANSWERS YOU FORGOT TO THANK GOD FOR. 🤍

Think about it.

The person who showed up at exactly the right moment.
The door that opened when you desperately needed somewhere to go.
The opportunity you never expected.
The healing you once begged for.
The morning you woke up with another chance.
The ordinary meal.
The safe home.
The people you love still being here.

We can become so accustomed to blessings that we stop recognizing them as blessings.

We ask God for something.
He gives it to us.
We enjoy it for a while.
Then it becomes normal.

And suddenly, we are praying for the next thing without ever thanking Him for the last one.

James reminds us:
every good and perfect gift is from above.

So today, I want to slow down.

Before I ask You for more,
let me thank You for what I already have.

Thank You for the things I notice.
Thank You for the things I don't.
Thank You for the prayers You answered exactly as I asked.
And thank You for the prayers You answered differently because You knew what I couldn't see.

Thank You for the blessings I almost overlooked because they arrived quietly.

Sometimes the greatest gifts don't come wrapped in anything extraordinary.

Sometimes they look like another ordinary morning.
Another conversation with someone you love.
Another opportunity to begin again.
Another breath.

Maybe today isn't missing a miracle.
Maybe today is already full of them.

Lord, give me eyes to notice.
A heart that remembers.
And gratitude that doesn't wait until something is taken away before I realize how precious it was. 🙏

I don't just pray for my son to be successful. I pray he becomes a man of character, patience, faith, and purpose. 💙 May he build a life he doesn't need to escape from, love deeply, and measure success by what truly matters. May God guide every step ahead. 🙏

I pray my daughter wakes up excited about the life ahead of her. ❤️ May she never make herself smaller to fit where she doesn't belong. May God fill her with faith, courage, joy, and the confidence to pursue the dreams He placed inside her. May she flourish completely. 🙏

WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND YOU FEELS UNCERTAIN, YOU NEED SOMETHING THAT CANNOT MOVE. ⚓🤍

Because life changes quickly.

People change.
Plans change.
Relationships change.
Circumstances change.
The future can look completely different from what you imagined.

And sometimes your heart gets tired from trying to find something stable in a world where everything seems to shift.

That's why this verse matters so much.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul.”

An anchor doesn't stop the storm.
It keeps the storm from carrying you away.

And maybe that's what faith is sometimes.

Not the absence of storms.
Not having every answer.
Not knowing exactly what tomorrow will look like.

It's knowing that even when everything around you moves,
God does not.

You can have questions and still have hope.
You can be afraid and still have faith.
You can cry and still believe.
You can feel uncertain and still be anchored.

Your circumstances may change overnight.
God's character does not.

The door may close.
The relationship may end.
The plan may fall apart.
The answer may take longer than you wanted.

But your hope does not have to disappear with them.

Because Christian hope isn't pretending everything will always go the way we want.
It's trusting that even when we cannot see the way forward,
God is still holding us.

So if you're in a storm right now,
don't judge God's faithfulness by the size of the waves.

Look at your anchor.

You are not drifting.
You are not forgotten.
You are not without hope.

The storm may be strong, but your anchor is stronger. 🙏

There are parts of a husband’s heart that only become visible when the house gets quiet and the day is finally over. ❤️ May God meet my husband there, restore what life has worn down, and remind him that his quiet sacrifices have never gone unnoticed. May he feel deeply loved, seen, and held tonight. 🙏

Some of the most important growth in a man happens where nobody can see it. 💙 I pray my son never mistakes quiet progress for failure. May God give him patience, purpose, and the strength to keep going when recognition hasn't come yet. What he's carrying may be preparing him for something greater. 🙏
