The crown is heavy enough without the crushing weight of public cruelty. 🛑👑

Following the 75th Diamond Celebration of Miss USA, former queen and recent judge Deshauna Barber-Echols released a deeply moving open letter addressing the toxic fallout that often follows a crowning moment.

In her statement, she admits the heavy emotional burden of sitting as "judge and jury" over 51 remarkable women. However, she fiercely condemns the vicious reactions from fans who tear down the newly chosen queen, the judging panel, and directors simply because they were rooting for someone else.

Pointing to the tragic 2022 losses of her pageant sister Cheslie Kryst and commentator John Baker, she asks a haunting question: "Have we learned nothing?"

Spain continues to set the gold standard in male pageantry! 🇪🇸👑

This weekend, against the stunning backdrop of the Roman Theatre of Medellín, 27-year-old Javier Iglesias (Islas Baleares) was officially crowned Mister International Spain 2026!

Javier’s path to the crown is a great lesson in pageant strategy. He wasn't the loudest favorite from day one, but he quietly and effectively dominated the sports and best body challenges. The jury recognized him as the most complete delegate: a Real Estate Agent with a degree in International Trade, fluent English, and undeniable charisma.

The crowning moment also gave us the most emotional scene of the weekend, as Javier shared a tearful celebration with his mother. 🤍

Spain has a massive legacy to defend internationally, having won Mister International back-to-back in 2023 and 2024. Does Javier have what it takes to bring home another Grand Slam title?
