❄️ Our annual Holiday Parade is getting even merrier and brighter this season! The celebration will now include a full Holiday Market at the end of the parade, featuring local vendors, festive treats, and seasonal refreshments that promise to delight the entire family.

After the parade, join the fun at O’Donnell Memorial Park for an enchanting Holiday Market showcasing local artisans, warm cocoa and cider, handcrafted gifts, and delicious holiday bites. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with community spirit and seasonal cheer!

As announced previously, the parade will travel down Atlantic Avenue for the first time in many years — and that’s not changing! The new parade route will begin at South Carolina Avenue and travel to Albany Avenue.

🕰️ The start time remains 4:30 PM, as the Atlantic City Holiday Parade & Market officially takes place during the twilight hours, illuminating the night sky with glowing floats, sparkling lights, and dazzling performances 🌃

Big news for Atlantic City!

Mayor Marty Small Sr. just published an op-ed in the New York Daily News — putting Atlantic City’s voice front and center in the debate over New York’s new casinos.

“Casinos alone don’t build cities. People do.”

In his piece, Mayor Small shares lessons from Atlantic City’s 40+ years with gaming and highlights why communities must come first when big investments arrive. From cutting property taxes six years in a row to reopening the Aquarium and securing $50M for our Boardwalk, Atlantic City is proving what’s possible when growth is built for everyone.

🚦 Green Light for Atlantic Avenue! 🚦

After years of delays, lawsuits, and funding hurdles, Atlantic City is officially moving forward with a $17.6 million overhaul of Atlantic Avenue — from Tennessee to Albany Avenues.

✅ Funding: $10.3 million from the Federal Highway Administration, plus NJDOT and city funds
✅ Upgrades: Fresh pavement, synchronized traffic lights, ADA-compliant ramps, 200+ new pedestrian lights, improved signage, and streetscape beautification
✅ Timeline: Bidding opens Aug. 19, construction starts October, completion in up to 24 months (with a winter pause)

This milestone was made possible through persistence and partnership between Mayor Marty Small Sr., Congressman Jeff Van Drew, and city officials — proving that when it comes to Atlantic City’s future, teamwork can overcome any roadblock.

The Atlantic Avenue project is part of a larger wave of improvements:
🚦 Pacific Avenue signal optimization & paving
🛣 Baltic Avenue paving starting Aug. 21
🛠 Full reconstruction of MLK Boulevard this fall
