Get excited! It's again! In this episode, we welcome Dr. James Ryan, Jean W. Liles Professor of English at Auburn University. Dr. Ryan joins this podcast as the Provost Liaison for Academic Honesty to discuss the topic of Academic Honesty in higher education.

We were joined by Susan McAllister, Director, Campus Safety and Compliance and Ashley Gann, Public Information Officer for Auburn University Campus Safety & Security.

After our last episode with Title IX and Safe Harbor, we wanted to showcase another department on campus dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, staff, and any guests that visit campus. Susan and Ashley provided some great information on staying safe, informed, and alert through their AU Alert system, website, and other valuable resources like the Auburn Safety App.

Happy and welcome back to another Fall semester with the Advising 2Bits podcast! We sat down for an important conversation with Carrie Rose (Assistant Director, Auburn Cares) and Katherine Weathers (Assistant Director, Affirmative Action, EEO) to discuss the resources available to students and employees on campus who have been affected by interpersonal violence including domestic, sexual, and emotional.

The Title IX and Safe Harbor offices on campus serve to help students and employees impacted by this violence and assists them in finding a path forward. Please listen in as we ask questions about what the processes in these offices look like, and how to reach out when in need.

“Safe Harbor is a confidential, free resource for all Auburn University students and employees who have experienced sexual or relationship violence. Safe Harbor helps connect people to resources and can provide information about reporting options.Additionally, you can always refer yourself or someone else to meet with a Safe Harbor advocate for support online through aub.ie/saferefer or by calling our hotline at 334-844-7233.”
