FORESTHILL, California

“I have a name.” Those words echo through a quiet stretch of forest in Placer County, where someone’s story ended, but their identity remains unknown.

On February 12, 2026, partial skeletal remains were discovered in a remote area above the Western States Trail, below Todd Valley near Foresthill. What investigators found was not just evidence. It was the last trace of a human being who once had a life, a name, and people who may still be searching for answers.

The remains were limited. A skull and several bones were recovered, while other parts of the body were not found. Time, terrain, and the elements have erased much of the physical evidence, leaving investigators with only fragments to work from.

And 2 haunting possible clues.

The first: A single white Puma sneaker, size 10, was located near the remains.

The second: A "Posture Doctor" brand back brace (photo in comments).

Weathered and worn, these now stand as perhaps the only tangible connections to who this person may have been.

No identification has been made.
No gender has been confirmed.
No timeline has been fully established.

Somewhere, someone may recognize that shoe.

Maybe you remember seeing someone with that posture brace on.

Somewhere, someone may still be waiting! DNA, sometimes genetic, takes time and there is a line 😞.
