Meet Samuel Zimmerman! He is seven years old and in the 2nd grade at Dean Road Elementary School. Math is his favorite subject, but he also enjoys reading, history, and computer class. Sam loves participating in sports and his favorites (so far) are baseball, basketball, soccer, and running!

Collegiate Standout Lucy Folmar launched Living Well Design, LLC in 2023, following her realization during her first year at Auburn University that no one locally offered interior design services for dorm rooms. "There are interior designers for established residences in Auburn, but what an opportunity it would be to create a home for students who are coming to Auburn and living in a dorm room,” she says. “I started by posting on social media, looking to get the word out. Since then, I have been blessed with clients who have allowed me to take a stressful part of starting college and make it easy."

TigerWings - Where Little Hearts Grow Bold and Prepare to Take Flight! Moore's Mill resident Kristen Cooper is leading an after-school industry curriculum to start filling critical skill gaps in our youngest learners now. While searching for an after-school program for her own children that would genuinely make a difference in their lives and also brainstorming the needs of the greater community, Kristen conceived the idea to partner with Auburn Parks & Recreation to create a unique program for our Auburn students. Every week, children learn about a different industry, with their learning supplemented by guest speakers and presenters. So far, Alabama Power brought a power truck during Energy Week; Chick-fil-A and Rocco's taught hospitality during Tasty Jobs Week; and Delta Airlines will be coming for Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Week. Meet Kids2Kids Wyatt Lakas! He is in the first grade at Auburn Early Education. Baseball is his favorite sport, but he also enjoys soccer, flag football, basketball, and participates in Summer Show Offs. His parents are Scottie and Colby Lakas, and they think he's pretty cool!
