I honestly thought he died decades ago. His story didn’t end with the PTL scandal and federal prison. He got out in 1994, went back on TV, and spent the next two decades selling to a new audience, including a “cure” for COVID that Missouri sued him over.

Cornell can identify a bird from a few seconds of sound. I wish institutions were as good at listening when women tell them what happened.

The Justice Department has sued 30 states and D.C. for their full voter rolls, including birthdates, driver’s license numbers, and partial Social Security numbers. So far it has lost 25 cases and won none.

The United States has never had a national voter database. States run elections, and Americans have argued over who controls them since the beginning. In 1888, Indiana’s fight over vote buying changed how ballots were printed.

Who should control the machinery of an American election?

Quick scheduling note for my WITCH crew: I’m going to postpone tomorrow evening’s live class. It’s my husband’s birthday weekend, and we unexpectedly have the opportunity to sneak away together for the day.

Rather than spend the day watching the clock to make sure I’m back at my desk by 5, I’m going to take the rare opportunity to be fully present with my family. We’ll pick right back up with WITCH next week, and I have plenty for us to dig into.

Thank you for giving me a little room to be a wife and human alongside all the other hats I wear. ❤️

What it doesn’t give us is a rulebook explaining exactly what demons can and cannot do.
And that becomes a problem for our witch story.
