Christmas is not about the noise.
It’s not about the lights, the gifts, or pretending everything is okay.
It’s about a Savior who still stands at the door of broken hearts and knocks.
This season has taught me that grief doesn’t disappear just because it’s Christmas.
I carry the loss of my baby brother, Jake.
I carry the loss of my parents.
And I carry days where the weight feels heavier than words.
Silence did steal my brother—the one I loved so much.
And that truth is why I choose to speak life now.
In my darkest moments, Jesus has calmed me.
On the days I couldn’t breathe through the grief… He steadied me.
On the days sadness, anger, and questions collided… He stayed.
On the bad days—the ones no one sees—He never left.
Jesus doesn’t force His way into our pain.
He waits.
He knocks.
And when we open the door, He brings a peace this world cannot explain.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.”
— Revelation 3:20
Through my journey of advocating for su***de prevention, I speak because love refuses to stay silent.
I keep Christ first because even in loss, He is my calm.
So if this Christmas finds you grieving…
hurting…
or barely holding it together…
🤍 He is still at the door.
🤍 Your pain does not scare Him.
🤍 Your life still has purpose.
I honor Jake by choosing light.
I carry my parents’ love forward.
And I trust the same Jesus born in a manger is still restoring hearts today.
This Christmas, may we slow down…
and open the door.
