the everlong challenge of running a wireless rig at a large live event, for us personally, has always boiled down to efficiency.

we have operated rigs that produce a great image, but are too bulky to weave through an active crowd with. or, they’re too heavy and unable to be operated for extended periods.

with the help of colleagues, we have recently developed our favorite rig for wireless event use yet. we affectionately refer to it as “the hound” since it often gets compared to those robot dogs you see from companies like boston dynamics… and also due to our love for game of thrones ⚔️

the hound packs down into a carry-on size pelican case, with a couple of pieces going into a normal checked bag with clothing. it is the smallest footprint for a fully wireless event camera that we’ve seen in the field, and we’re psyched to have it as an offering. it provides outstanding results with a small and nimble footprint.

Film photography is one of my favorite things ever, and it became a huge part of 2024 for me. Over the years I have thrifted or have bought/been given lots of secondhand cameras. I picked up the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 recently to use for mostly personal and social content. I've wanted one for a while now, and I knew I needed to do an unboxing when I got it.

In this video I unbox it, share some first impressions of it, and show off some simple test footage! I am floored by this camera and what it is capable of. Excited to see what I can do with it!

Excited to have collaborated with CCS once again on this end of year project! very happy with how this turned out and proud of what we accomplished. interviewing these kids was an awesome experience, and their answers really show the value behind a quality Christian education. watch the video to learn more about the school, its students and how you can support them! thanks for trusting me with this one CCS!

had fun shooting an end of the year project with Conway Christian School today! we conducted around 20 short interviews ranging from kindergarten students to alumni. it was awesome to hear the great things everyone had to say about the school and their experience there.

building an environment where people, especially children, feel comfortable to express themselves on camera is something I do not take lightly. it’s very important to create a warm atmosphere, be friendly, and know when to step in and help someone out as a director when they need it.

videos like this are a specialty of mine, and I’d love to help you with one! building out a story and sharing it is something dear to me. I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish today, and i can’t wait to share the final project!
