We most enjoyed last Tuesday night at Evangeline Cafe in South Austin, watching Bobby Earl Smith and this motley crew do their thing (and filling up on gumbo loaded with never-too-much hot sauce). These guys played last night at the Paramount Theatre downtown Austin to honor of the incomparable Marcia Ball and her non-profit organization H.O.M.E., and while I was unable to bring my camera inside the theatre, I'm happy to have captured them on a different stage just a couple of night prior. In the first photo, Bobby Earl is tipping his hat while he introduced me to the room, and it has to be one of my favorite images I've gotten during a show. Hats off to you, too, Bobby Earl.

The Band: Bobby Earl Smith, Floyd Domino, John X Reed, Freddy Fletcher, Eric Michael Smith, and Dennis Ludiker.

Three things in life are true: we need music, bingo is fun, and chickens are wonderful. Combine all three TOMORROW Sunday 8/10 at the world famous Chicken S**t Bingo at The Little Longhorn Saloon in Austin, TX featuring Smith & Reeves - the band so good you have to see to believe. Hear to revere? I don't know, but we'll all be there betting on chicken's poopooing on our numbers. Smith & Reeves is Eric Michael Smith, Chris Reeves, Dennis Ludiker, Dan Walton, and Travis Woodard. (told you it's a good band)
