"China's New Navy" opened my eyes to the incredible evolution of China's navy, from non-existent to one of the biggest naval forces today. Lots of battles, intrigue and interesting alliances along the way too. Thanks to Tantor Audio for asking me to narrate this audiobook!

Waiting for my fantasy author to approve my initial sample. In the meantime, I'm getting a jump on a 15-hour nonfiction audiobook on machine learning. The two projects couldn't be more different, and I'm thankful for the variety. I never know what I'll get next! 😍

The author of my latest audiobook project was reviewing my audio files when her husband stopped by and noted that I sounded like her! When he got closer, he could hear the differences between us but still said we sounded familiar. Maybe, she surmised, that's why she chose me to narrate her book? 😊

I'm cherishing having my family together for the holidays, eating all the yummy things and recording my latest project, a historical fiction titled Rebel Empress by the talented Faith L. Justice. It's the follow-up to Dawn Empress, and it's been a blast exploring the story of another forgotten heroine from the Roman Empire.

I was honored when Wendy Patrice Williams asked me to narrate her moving memoir. When she was a baby, she was operated on without anesthetic and consequently suffered trauma her entire life. Her story takes listeners on her journey toward healing, as she communes along the way with horseshoe crabs and other marine life that taught her the restorative power of beauty, resilience, and interdependence.

It occurred to me that it's a been a little while since I posted here....what I am working on, you ask? I just wrapped recording on a book about Zen Buddhism and am recording a book about the first emperor of China. I also chatted with two authors who requested that I record their memoirs. Thankful to be keeping busy!
