Your girl was invited to see the White House, and it was a very surreal experience. Surreal to know that the building I was walking in was built by slaves, and home to Alice Roosevelt (daughter of Teddy Roosevelt who was banned from the White House for burying the voodoo doll of a First Lady in the front lawn.)
To know that when this building was built, it wasn’t meant to ever allow me in. But here I was, walking in welcomed and to do so on behalf of all the sacrifices made by my ancestors.

I also lost a hoop earring walking through the White House sooo proof that I will always be me. 😂

Good morning from the DMV! I’m excited to be attending the Summer Democratic National Committee Meeting as a guest of Youth Council Chair André Treiber, DNC Member from Texas!
The Democratic National Committee is the national representative board of the Democratic Party. They meet twice a year to discuss business.
Andre is a friend of the pod and I’m excited to be here to share what these meetings entail at the national level.
