I remember when I moved to Austin a few years ago thinking, man, everyone seems to live in leggings. *I’ll* never do that…..fast-forward a few years and yes, I LIVE in leggings & flip-flops (unless I’m in the gym of course, then substitute trainers)…..WHY? Because they are just so darn comfortable. They can also be expensive, or snag, or don’t hold up when/where you want them to, can’t be dried, lose their shape, or show the outline of what’s underneath……but guess what?!? NOT Zyia. Just another reason I love them so much.❤️❤️❤️

Taking a break every now and then is part of wellness. Slowing down, reflecting, meditating, giving yourself space to breathe. Part of training / working out is the rest in between - which I have to remind myself of. Sometimes it feels easier to just keep pushing really hard. When in fact what you need is a break. A breather. As a single mom, it’s so rare that I feel like I get a real break. So I try to make the most of the time I do get.

You can’t take care of everyone else unless you take care of yourself. So do it. ☺️

Take time for yourself. Whether that’s an hour, a day or a week. A staycation or a vacation. The ocean or the mountains or the park. Whatever feeds your soul. Connect with nature. Ground. Surround yourself with people that make you laugh. Be silly.

80/20 rule. 80% of the time I eat clean, steer clear of dairy, grains and sugar. But every so often.... like on holiday, I broaden my horizons just a bit. I mean really, what’s a holiday without an umbrella drink? ☂☺️ Headed for some much needed sun and relaxation.
