Texas Co-op Power

Texas Co-op Power Keeping electric cooperative members informed since 1944. In 1944, the first issue of Texas Co-op Power rolled off the presses.

Texas Co-op Power celebrates being a Texan and a co-op member with stories about people, food, travel, history and culture in co-op country that help make our vast state feel more like one big community. The modest black-and-white monthly was created to help Texas’ electric cooperatives communicate with their members. Over the years, TCP has steadily grown and improved to better engage, entertain

and inform members about Texas living, local co-op news and energy issues. Every month, more than 1.7 million co-op members find TCP in their homes, making it the largest-circulation publication in Texas. We ask our readers to engage with our content in a respectful and considerate manner on this page. After a four-team barnstorming season in 2025, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League is set to start its second season with six teams, including one in Texas.

The Texas Volts will return and play their home games at Dell Diamond in Round Rock and join teams based in Chicago; Durham, North Carolina; Oklahoma City; Portland, Oregon; and Salt Lake City.

“Texas is synonymous with softball excellence at every level,” said Kim Ng, the league’s commissioner.

The Volts start their 25-game season June 9 in Oklahoma City. Their first home game is June 18 against the Utah Talons.

Often called the “Father of Texas Art,” Onderdonk left an indelible mark on American impressionism with his radiant Hill Country portrayals.
