If you’re looking for the Capitol Crowd GROUP on Facebook, please search for it under groups. It’s a private group with 3.1k members. You have to request permission to join the group, and as the administrator, I’ll try to figure out if you work in or around the Texas State Capitol and admit you. The 2023 Capitol Crowd directories went to the printer today! Sir Speedy in downtown Austin has printed every single directory since we started publishing them in 2007 and they do a great job. There are still two House committee clerks that haven’t been named, and at least two House chiefs of staff who haven’t been hired, but I’ll send those names to everyone who bought a directory as soon as I can (either as an insert with the directories as they’re shipped/delivered to you or in a mass email). Thank you for your patience… hoping to start fulfilling orders by Friday or Monday.

I’m “rounding home” on the 2023 Capitol Crowd legislative staff directories. Just a few more offices and committee clerks to confirm and I can send the file to the printer next week. Happy last weekend of the interim! I wanted to share with you that I’m publishing Capitol Crowd legislative staff directories again this year – something that started in 2007. Each session, a great group of people sponsor the directories and that allows me to give each lawmaker’s office one free copy of the booklet. The rest are sold through the Capitol Crowd website (www.capitolcrowd.com) for $20.00 each. It’ll take several weeks to get the directory to the printer because we try to get as many committee staff in the directory as possible.

The sponsors of the 2023 directory are Blackridge, Butler Snow, CenterPoint Energy, Texas Family Law Foundation, Gonzalez Public Affairs & Consulting, Hance Scarborough, LLP, Martinez & Associates Governmental Affairs, the Online Texas Lobby Guide (Deborah Ingersoll), Phenix Saenz, Ratliff Company, Texans for Lawsuit Reform, Texas Legislative Associates (Brad Shields), and the Wholesale Beer Distributors of Texas. Additionally, some of those sponsors, plus other lobby firms/businesses/associations are custom-printing the directory for their personal distribution.

Like last session, the Capitol Crowd directory will include a list of State Agency government relations contacts, thanks to our friend Kevin Cooper at DPS.

If you work for an entity/agency that’s tax-exempt and would like to order some directories, feel free to reach out to me ([email protected]) and I can send you a purchase order or an invoice (orders on the website automatically charge sales tax).

You can pre-order copies on the Capitol Crowd website (www.capitolcrowd.com), but please know they won't be delivered until the end of February/beginning of March (depending on when House committee chairmen are named). A recently-updated PDF of the Capitol Crowd legislative staff directory is now available for download on the Capitol Crowd website (https://www.capitolcrowd.com/store) for only $10.00. The next legislative session starts 10 weeks from today... and we'll be working on the 2023 printed directory soon after the legislature convenes. Enjoy what's left of the interim (after the elections, of course)!

Capitol Crowd directory update - I know there are FAR more important things happening, but for those of you who've ordered copies of the 2021 Capitol Crowd legislative staff directory, please know they're going to be delayed by about a week. There are six House committees that haven't hired clerks yet, and I'm sure constituent needs are a bigger priority right now. Three of those are MAJOR committees (Public Education, Redistricting, and Energy Resources). With luck, we'll be able to get the directories printed next week (week of Feb. 22nd) and start delivering them by Friday, Feb. 26th or Monday, March 1st. Thanks for your patience.

The Capitol Crowd legislative staff directories for 2021 are well on their way! We've been reaching out to lawmaker's offices and getting updates on who's working where this session. I'd say we're about 70% complete. You can pre-order directories on the Capitol Crowd website (www.capitolcrowd.com) - BUT, if you are a tax exempt state agency or non-profit, please contact Robyn at [email protected] so we can bypass the sales tax that's automatically charged on the site.
