London, 2006
1. View from the London Eye
2. Victoria Tower, Palace of Westminster
3. Bird’s eye view of Big Ben
4. The Hungerford and Golden Jubilee bridges over the River Thames
5. Westminster Abbey, origins of the abbey are thought to have dated back to 959. Additions have been added on throughout the centuries.

I wonder how the skyline looks 19 years later.

Potala Palace and man.

1. Andy sitting in front of a painting of the monastery in our hotel in Tibet
2. A man walking right into frame just before I clicked the shutter. I thought about removing him, but I like him there.

This impressive monastery has over 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines, and approx 200,000 statues. Built in 1649, the palace used to be the winter residence for the Dalai Lamas.

A Tibetan monk at the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Tibet, circa 2006. I’m going through the daunting task of going through all my travel photos throughout the years, and I’m excited to share them finally!

Shibuya Crossing - night vs day.
I was curious about the billboards so I asked ChatGPT how much it costs to advertise. It ranges from $6-7k for a basic 15 sec slot every four hours for one week to $37-195k for a premium large scale placement for 2-4 weeks. 🤔

Possibly my favorite neighborhood in Korea, Ikseon-dong hanok village is made up of narrow alleyways filled with cute cafes, pastry shops, and amazing restaurants.
1. A perfume shop handed out scented flowers. Royal water.
2+3. Bbat bakery. They are famous for their salt butter breads but everything is delicious.
4. This arcade was apparently featured in Squid Games.
5+6. We stumbled onto this random Skippy marketing experience where the kids had the chance to play an old Korean kids’ game (also featured in Squid Games) called ttakji. The objective is to flip the paper packet over with your own. It’s much harder than you’d think.
7. Guo dumplings. Clark consumed a bunch of these.
8. Ikseon Goro, purpleberry soft serve ice cream covered in little sour crunchy bits. Yum.
9-13. Picturesque cafes and restaurants in the hood

In the heart of Seoul’s modern cityscape stands Gyeongbokgung Palace, a stunning window into Korea’s royal past. Built in 1395 by the Joseon Dynasty, this grand palace once served as the main seat of power and is now one of the most iconic cultural landmarks in the country.

One of the most beloved traditions for visitors is dressing in hanbok, the vibrant traditional Korean attire. Dozens of rental shops line the nearby streets, making it easy to find the perfect outfit—and here’s a great tip: wearing a hanbok grants you free entry to the palace! It’s a beautiful way to engage with history, and you’ll blend right into the scenery as you explore ancient courtyards and pavilions dressed like royalty.

What makes Gyeongbokgung truly unique is how it stands in dramatic contrast to the glass towers and buzzing city life that surround it. This stunning juxtaposition of old and new tells the story of Korea itself—a culture deeply rooted in tradition, yet boldly moving into the future. 🇰🇷✨

Clark ran up the Inwang Mountain without breaking into a sweat. Beat the rest of the fam by over 7 minutes. Namsan Tower on the left. Stunning, sweeping, 360-degree views of Seoul. Photos cannot begin to capture the vastness and beauty of the city, with the Han River to the south, and mountains you can see from every angle. 🇰🇷
