I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by. Exactly one year ago today, I had my very first DJ gig — the Ultimate Partner LIVE event in Las Colinas, Texas.

When I started this journey, I told myself I’d book my first event by October, even if it meant DJing my little cousin’s 15th birthday in the backyard. Then one day in September, I got a call from Vince Menzione asking if I’d like to DJ his event in November. I didn’t know if I was ready, but I knew God was — because He already told me this was part of His plan. 🙏🏾

Fast forward one year — my wife and I have built a thriving business bringing joy and energy to weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, baby showers, and even charitable events. Next month, we’ll take on our first quinceañera!

It’s amazing what happens when you stay grounded, put your heart in the right place, and trust the process. I’m still all-in with my corporate career, but on weekends, I take off the Bruce Wayne suit and become DJ Marco Polo.

Forever grateful for my first big break and for everyone who’s believed in me since Day 1. 💪🏾🎧

The Importance of Respect

True respect can’t be forced, faked, or fabricated.
You don’t get respect by demanding it — you earn it by consistently doing the right things when no one’s watching.

People respect:
• The one who keeps their word.
• The one who shows up early and stays late.
• The one who leads without a title.
• The one whose character speaks louder than their ego.

Respect is the byproduct of your habits — not your status. When your actions align with your values, you don’t have to fight for respect. You become the kind of person whose presence naturally earns it.

Lead with integrity.
Influence without fear.
Be the example others are proud to follow.

Last weekend’s wedding had one of those unforgettable moments 💃🏽✨

The ladies completely took over the dance floor and formed an impromptu train line to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” 🙌🏽 The fellas had to sit this one out and watch the queens take charge — led by the bride herself! 👰🏽‍♀️

Who would’ve thought… ❤️

Three years ago, our marriage was on the verge of falling apart. We were both holding on to pain, pride, and patterns that were holding us back from becoming the best versions of ourselves — individually and together.

But instead of walking away, we chose to fight through the adversity. We learned to let go of the anchors weighing us down and started to rebuild — with love, grace, forgiveness, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Today, we’re living a life filled with positivity, purpose, prosperity, and peace. 🙏🏽

Now don’t get me wrong… some days we still fight like Tom and Jerry behind closed doors 😂 — but the difference is, we’re not fighting against each other anymore. We’re fighting for each other.
