SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, provides monthly benefits to help families buy groceries.
For millions of Americans, it’s a way to put food on the table. However, with benefits in an uncertain state during the federal government shutdown, families may face delays.
Scammers could take advantage of this uncertainty, calling or emailing recipients and pretending to be from the SNAP program, so beware.
