🌿 Welcome to Lists & Lost Things 🌿

If you’re new here: Hi, I’m really glad you found this space.

This group exists for people who:
• have ADHD or beautifully wired brains
• feel overwhelmed by ā€œnormalā€ organization advice
• lose lists…while actively making lists
• want systems that work with their energy, not against it

This is a shame-free, perfection-not-required zone. We talk about gentle resets, realistic routines, clutter without guilt, and doing the best we can with the brains and lives we have.

You’ll see:
āœ”ļø simple, flexible organization ideas
āœ”ļø encouragement on hard days
āœ”ļø tools that don’t assume unlimited focus or motivation
āœ”ļø reminders that you are not broken

✨ Start wherever you are. Lurk if you need to. Jump in when it feels safe.

If you want to explore printable tools and resources made for this exact kind of brain, you can find them here (I’m slowly creating more!):

Optional hello (only if you want!):
šŸ’¬ What’s one thing you’re hoping gets a little easier lately?

I’m really glad you’re here,

✨ New blog post is live ✨

Tonight’s post is about supporting a neurodivergent child through disappointment when plans fall apart, and there’s nothing you can fix.

This one came from a real moment in our home. A canceled youth group night. Big feelings. Quiet space. And a reminder that emotional regulation doesn’t always look like talking it out or ā€œbeing resilientā€ on demand.

Sometimes support looks like presence.
Sometimes it looks like asking one simple question.
Sometimes it looks like chicken nuggets.

If you’re parenting a neurodivergent child who feels things deeply, I hope this one makes you feel seen.

šŸ’¬ I’d love to hear from you in the comments:
What helps your child move through disappointment?

When plans fall apart, disappointment can hit neurodivergent kids hard. Learn how one simple evening with a canceled youth group, quiet space, and chicken nuggets showed that helping a neurodivergent child cope with disappointment does not require fixing feelings, only honoring them.

No kidding.

Let’s pause together for a minute. šŸ¤

This week has been mentally loud in our house. Big feelings about the world. End-of-quarter school chaos. That ā€œeverything is happening all at onceā€ kind of tired.

Instead of spiraling or doom-scrolling, I want to try something different today, and I’d love for you to join me.

šŸ‘‡ Drop one of these in the comments (or all three):
• One small win (even if it feels silly)
• One thing that’s been hard
• One thing you’re hoping for

No fixing. No debating. Just sharing and being seen.

If you’re feeling scattered, behind, or overwhelmed, you’re not alone here. This space is for real life, unfinished to-do lists, and hope that doesn’t require productivity to earn its keep.

šŸ’¬ I’ll start in the comments.

One of our biggest issues right now is the idea of needing something to be completed or whole for my daughter, and what that looks like specifically for her. While my daughter doesn't have what many might consider "meltdowns" anymore over things like this, it does cause her a huge amount of anxiety. I'm not one to walk on eggshells with my kids, though, so we're trying all kinds of ways to work on one piece of this issue at a time. This article explains the issue beautifully, so I wanted to pass it along to my audience.

I’ve never been a ā€œword of the yearā€ person…until this year. The word reclaim kept showing up, and I finally listened. This post is about choosing a focus word that feels safe, gentle, and grounding, not demanding or performative. šŸ’›

Check out my latest blog post right here:

I’ve never been a word-of-the-year person, until this year. The word reclaim kept showing up, and I finally understood why. This post explores why choosing a gentle, intentional word of the year can help you reconnect with joy, creativity, and yourself without pressure or perfection.

One quiet conversation before Thanksgiving changed everything. Embracing holiday food freedom helped my daughter enter the day calm, happy, and completely herself.

New post today! Find it here:

Before Thanksgiving, I told my daughter there were no food rules this year. She walked into the holiday almost anxiety free, chose corn casserole and cookies, and had her happiest Thanksgiving ever. I am unlearning old expectations and embracing holiday food freedom because the memories matter more....

After a full-on mental health crisis triggered by ADHD overwhelm and the wildest school-year chaos I’ve ever lived through, I’m finally feeling "me" again. I’m sharing the tiny, ADHD-friendly resets—from Google Tasks to nightly kitchen resets—that actually helped me get back on track.

After a full-on mental health crisis brought on by ADHD overwhelm, school chaos, and homeschool stress, I’m sharing how small resets—like using Google Tasks, keeping a nightly kitchen reset, and cooking at home—helped me regain stability and rebuild ADHD productivity one step at a time.
