Diana4Azusa

Diana4Azusa I'm retired and volunteer my time to my community. I want everyone to have equal opportunities, but one must work hard to fulfill their goals.

What works for me may not work for you, and that's ok. I will give respect as long as I receive it. ☮️ ✌️ out. My name is Diana Reyes Williams and I have been an Azusa homeowner for 24 years. I am married with two adult children. I retired from the City of Los Angeles after 31 years and am now a business partner for a woman-owned business, I have been a community leader for over 20 years and I con

tinue to challenge myself in a role where I can make a difference in our community. It doesn't matter what title I hold. When I lead, it is with ethics, integrity, and thoughtfulness. I will continue to do all I can to make this world a better place, especially in Azusa. I believe making a difference to one means making a difference to many and as a public servant, I am ready to continue to lead by example.

Oh no no no! We are going backwards and we must get a grip. The hate that's spewing is turning our country into a place I no longer recognize. We must find peace in our heart or our we will all lose out. 😥

Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were killed in a politically motivated assassination at their Brooklyn Park home on June 14, 2025.
The assailant, Vance Luther Boelter, disguised as a police officer, shot and killed the couple in their home. The Hortmans' golden retriever, Gilbert, was also shot and later euthanized due to his injuries.

The attack is considered an act of targeted political violence. A note found in Boelter's abandoned car contained a list of approximately 70 names of Democratic lawmakers, abortion providers, and others.

Earlier the same night, Boelter allegedly also shot and wounded Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.
The killer, was apprehended after a large-scale manhunt and was charged with state and federal crimes, including murder.
The couple received the honor of lying in state in the Minnesota Capitol rotunda, along with their dog, Gilbert. Melissa Hortman was the first woman in Minnesota to receive this honor.

But, our United States Flag remained in its place. It was not lowered, nor did the President acknowledge the same sentiment as he has recently for another political shooting of an unelected person. 🤔

The Hortmans did not deserve to be murdered and the Hoffmans did not deserve to be shot. No one deserves to be killed for having a different opinion or stance.

What the hell is wrong with people. Can't we all just get along?

Its been a while since I shared. I'm no longer planning a run for office, but I love having this page as a platform. I continue to volunteer and challenge myself so im contemplating other opportunities. I plan to keep this page as Diana4Azusa because I am for Azusa. I am on my 27th year as a resident and homeowner. I love my neighborhood, the beautiful mountains and the people I call my friends. I saw this image and it reminded me of the Azusa Woman's Club (AWC). Do you know that we are about to hit 125 years as an incorporated non-profit 501c3 organization. Our 125th birthday is on January 15, 2026 and I must share that our Club has the best comradery that I have seen in years. A few of us were reflecting on this and it's nice to be driven in harmony. I am honored to belong to an organization with a rich history.

As been said, we stand on the shoulders of those before us, and today I stand shoulder to shoulder with amazing women of our community with joy, laughter that brings value to my life. It's worth every second of volunteerism I do. Are you curious? Join us if this fits your bill. Reach out to Ana Gonzales, our 2nd VP & Membership Chair if you want to learn more. I respect the value and worth each member brings to our community and it is time well spent. We are all different, with the common goal of "making a difference". 🤩
