Our last post had misleading information. We deeply apologize and we will do our due diligence next time to avoid any confusion. The resolution wasn’t adopted, the board members decided not to proceed because of the parking. Parking would have become an issue due to the scale of the building and how many people would use the public parking. More data will be obtained before a final vote can be taken.

March 25, 2026: The Azusa Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 2026-PC01, approving three entitlements for Congregation Brewery at 622–624 N. San Gabriel Avenue. The proposal converts a vacant commercial building into a full-service restaurant, bar, and brewery, adding a second floor, open-air brewing operation, outdoor dining, façade improvements, and live entertainment.
The remodeled building would total about 15,730 square feet, with 567 seats. Outdoor dining would add 206 seats across a 3,737-square-foot ground-floor patio and a 1,107-square-foot covered second-floor patio. Outdoor live entertainment is limited to three nights per week and must end by 9:00 p.m. Outdoor dining closes by 10:00 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11:00 p.m. Friday–Saturday.
Planning Commission in Azusa, all this is public information. No date of opening has been announced or date of building.

On April 20, 2026 The Azusa city council meeting took place and the public participation was open and one resident went to speak about Flock cameras in Azusa. She shared concerns regarding the FLOCK Automated License Plate Reader
Program; stated that she had previously requested that the Council agendize and review the program but had not
received confirmation; and requested that the Council direct Staff to prepare an evaluation of the program’s
effectiveness, total cost, data governance practices, and legal compliance, and to create an opportunity for
public review.

On August 17, 2020, The City of Azusa, unanimously voted to approve the two year lease with flock safety. 6 years later, it’s a controversial issue in this country where police abuse and government state surveillance has become more widespread. This is our first investigated reporting post.

The City Hall Council meeting on Monday night, August 17, was held, and one resident spoke out against the Flock cameras installed in Azusa. The resident spoke about the rise of police abuse management of Flock software, and the growing concern of government surveillance.
