The Gathering of Authors, on Saturday, August 23, has authors of books for all ages, including kids!
The Gathering is a celebration of the rich tradition of literature in Kentucky. We are proud to welcome authors from across the Bluegrass to sell and sign their works as well as talk with you, the reader!
Shannon McRoberts is a Creative Deconstructionist reimagining life around her one work at a time. At her core, the USA Today bestselling author, award-winning poet, and artist is a lover of all things fantasy. She works to weave myths and lore into the fantastical tomes she pens. In addition to her own creative endeavors, Shannon also offers her services as a freelance artist and indie publishing consultant.
Carol June Franks is a retired teacher turned children’s book author. Carol’s books include rhythm and illustrations that engage children as well as content that adults enjoy reading to the children in their lives. Her books are unique in that each provides guidance for using the book to strengthen children's reading and writing abilities. Carol’s goal is to improve childhood literacy through her writing, presentations, and support for parents and teachers.
